Looks like this will be a weekly thing

[This whole week has been awful. This whole experience has been awful. Mordecai wants to go straight to his room and deal with his frustrations, but that's not what a mayor does. A mayor takes charge, a mayor fixes what's wrong, a mayor makes things better. Even if he can't do everything on his own, he's has to do something.

Two hours after the end of the trial, the living will find another note slipped underneath their doors.]

There's cookies in the kitchen. The dining room is ready for anyone who needs a quiet place to talk it out. I'll be in the bar if you need a drink, alcoholic or something more appropriate for the underage crowd.

[There's a pile of warm chocolate chip cookies in the kitchen. Two more candles are lit at the memorial - one for the victim, one for the culprit - and Mordecai has left a pile of blankets from the storage room on one of the dining room tables.]

There is no next time because you already told everyone about it! [He just exasperatedly takes another swig of soda and then promptly turns to lay his head on the table, quite obviously disgruntled.]

[She sounds really guilty, okay. And look at her face.]

[He can't look at her face, he's looking at table right now.

In fact, he just gives her a small little grunt in reply. But it doesn't sound like a no....?]

[...She gets the distinct feeling he's overreacting a little.]

...Is that a yes?

[mortyfied]

[He's definitely overreacting a little, but that's how Morty do.

Anyway, he lifts his head looking still pretty upset, but also resigned to his fate.]

Yeah.

Thanks, Morty. The less time we spend with a wedge between us, the better I'll feel.

...I can't actually be mad at you, Hibiki. [He'll sit up all the way then, but let out a sigh.]

I dunno what to do about Sol now, though. She probably thinks I'm really weird or creepy or something... [Just from. Experience with crushes. They never end well]

I feel the same way about you, y'know.

[Even if his stories are hella weird. Just never mention the murder ones, Morty.]

I promise you one thing, Morty. With everything that's happened...Sol isn't even gonna care. No matter what happens, sticking with her friends is gonna be important to her. And you're her friend, right?
