Logan is dead, and for once the rest of the students were all there to bear witness. After that, does anybody really want to lie alone in their dark bedrooms all night?

Of course not. That's why people are gathering in the dining hall. It's still dark, but the room is lit with a hastily-assembled host of candles, mostly forming a protective half-circle around the far corner of the room. There's also at least one garbage-can fire, courtesy of Sukuyo. Will that be enough to keep the shadows at bay? Only one way to find out...

There's pillows and blankets too, but try not to fall asleep out here. Keep an eye out for any neighbors who might be nodding off too. That would be against the rules, and there's been more than enough punishment for one night.]

It depends on how long you wanna use it for. Like, alcohol is probably fine for most purposes? But if you wanna, like, fight for hours or something I'd have to basically, uh. Create a sword from scratch? It's kinda complicated.

...If you ask me, the safest thing would be to make something to throw at it and then run like hell.

....That's prooobably why Ashley suggested a molotov cocktail, come to think of it.

I'm working on something so we, like, can level the playing field. [Not that she's gonna say what out loud.] I don't suggest Molotovs unless you, like, think burning this place down is a good idea. There's no way to control the burn in a fight.

A molotov would be a last ditch effort, naaaturally.

[But it also... probably would mean no one gets saved. He doesn't want that.]

Do any of you have, like, canvas? Denim? Something heavy. It burns better than thinner fabric and will hold more alcohol if, like, you want to actually make flame swords.

I got a "present" [you can hear those air quotes] from the Conductor. It's, like, not drinkable but it's super flammable.

[well, ok. that's a slight exaggeration. she blew up some supports which then caused a city to topple out of the sky and onto the ground. but it still counts!]

Wouldn't a more permanent solution be trying to figure out if we can get our powers back? Obser — the Conductor's not the one who took them, so... Maybe we can get them back without involving him at all.
