So When Sleep Just Won't Come
[Well, that sure did happen.
Logan is dead, and for once the rest of the students were all there to bear witness. After that, does anybody really want to lie alone in their dark bedrooms all night?
Of course not. That's why people are gathering in the dining hall. It's still dark, but the room is lit with a hastily-assembled host of candles, mostly forming a protective half-circle around the far corner of the room. There's also at least one garbage-can fire, courtesy of Sukuyo. Will that be enough to keep the shadows at bay? Only one way to find out...
There's pillows and blankets too, but try not to fall asleep out here. Keep an eye out for any neighbors who might be nodding off too. That would be against the rules, and there's been more than enough punishment for one night.]

Despite seeing people die way too often here anymore, Marty finds it incredibly hard to stay awake. It's part of the whole teenager thing where you stay up for a long period of time (which he has been to be honest), and then when you crash, you crash hard. Not all that far in the sleepover, Marty's bundled up in blankets with the group, and eyes are so freaking heavy.
Yaaawwwnnn. ]

So Mordecai walks on over and gives his a good shake.]

Marty looks over to Mordecai and nods. ] 'M up, 'm up.
What time'sit?

I want to stay up. Okay? I'm not gonna die or anything, I swear. [ He gives a (sleepy) smile! ]

It's all about the sugar free sodas. You know. Pepsi Free? [ He gives a tired kind of smile. ] 'S the thing in 1985.
What about chocolate?

[The hell is Pepsi Free.] Takin' sugar outta soda seems counterproductive, so be assured you're gettin' somethin' good, alright? [He pats him on the shoulder.] I'll see what's up there. Stay awake until I get back.

[ Counterproductive...? Maybe. While Mordecai's going up to the bar, he's going to think really hard about that. Sodas with no sugar being counterproductive. He actually's thinking about this pretty hard, believe it or not. ]

Mordecai runs up the stairs, grabs two bottles of peach flavored soda, runs down without running into any problems, and arrives back at the dining hall a bit winded.]
You ain't asleep, are you?
no subject
Go to bed if you're, like, that tired.

marty raises his head just enough to see tabby there and scowls. ] 'M not! I wanna stay up.
[ SO THERE ]

[please don't fall asleep and die or something.]
no subject
Nah, 'm fine. I've stayed up a lot longer than this.
[ it's a teenager thing. kinda weird. ]
