Rule 17 hits like a gutpunch. The plan she'd talked about, as improbable as it already was, had just become much harder.

But something - someone - digs its heels in inside her, the same way it did prior to their most recent trial. The presence of their latest, insurmountable hurdle, has the odd effect of only making Youko more determined.

They're going to win.

There's hot soup, rice, and tea in the kitchen. We're holding a meeting tomorrow morning in the conference room. I want you to be there.

[ Sol hangs out in the kitchen after the trial, unlike the last two times. It seems she's at least back to forcibly holding her head up, if nothing else. That said, she made a detour to Yuuri's room beforehand, and can be found reading a few letters as she sits on the counter.

Later, she goes to track down Blue, flagging the other girl down if she's out and about or knocking on her door if she's not. ]

Blue? ...Got a second?

[Blue very much vouched to stay in her room, for several reasons; she peeks her door open, then opens it fully for Sol.]

What's up?

[She can't quite manage a smile, but who could blame her, really?]

I, uh. Investigated Yuuri's room, you know? There was some stuff there that...wasn't related to the trial. [ Namely, letters. One of which had been addressed to her. That had been the only one she'd read initially, but curiosity had gotten the better of her - Yuuri had given her permission, after all. ]

He left me a letter with some instructions, so...I'm carrying out part of those now, okay? Can you hold out your hand for me?

[ If and when Blue does, Sol will reach into her pocket and carefully place Yuuri's pendant in Blue's palm. Presumably she filched it from Yuuri's body at some point before the trial, but after reading the letter. ]

He wanted you to have this...he said it was important to him, and that you'd take good care of it.

[Blue holds out her hand, and looks over the pendant. He wanted her to have this? Is this something important to him?

She puts it over her head; the best way to take good care of it is to keep it close, right?]

It's very nice. I'll definitely take care of it.

[She fiddles with it a little more, considering her words.

In the end, there's really only one thing to say.]

But I wish he was around to take care of it instead.

[Boy, if I'm not careful, I might end up falling for you!

She messed up big time, didn't she?]

...I wish the same thing.

[ She swallows, once, but -

But even this loss can't compare to the one she's already felt. Even so, she's losing more and more friends each week. Everyone she had standing plans with, by now. ]

Blue, um. Do you...want to start having breakfast together, or somethin'? Anything.

[Breakfast...?]

Sure! I don't mind. But why...?

[Is she lonely?]

she used to have breakfast with luna. THEN SHE HAD BREAKFAST WITH MORTY...then she would try to eat with yuuri. ]

I...usually would eat with someone. It keeps changin' whenever... [ ... ] I just don't really like startin' the day all alone.

[...It really must be lonely for Sol, huh?]

Then yeah, sure! I don't mind at all.

[sunsong]

[ if you die, blue, she's giving up on breakfast entirely >( but this is good, since yuuri said to look after blue. ]

Great! [ She brightens up, smiling - something she's been doing less often in recent weeks, but all the same. ] Then we can meet up whenever's best for you in the mornings...I'm an okay cook, too, so we can either trade off or I'll make whatever.
