Wednesday morning is off to a strange start. Anyone awake shortly after the morning chimes go off will be greeted with the mildly bizarre sight of candles set up in rows along the hallways; they seem to be forming a path leading somewhere upstairs. It seems your friends are still looking out for you. It also seems like they're probably doing it for a good reason, because... ...Is that something burning? It smells like something may have been burning in the ballroom at one point during the night. You might want to. Look into that. >Explore?

[It looks like several people may have had a bad time in here last night.

There are scorch marks on the ballroom floor and the walls, in patterns that indicate there were blasts of some sort in here - though it doesn't look as though it was an uncontrolled fire or anything in here, nor does it seem like anything blew up against the walls themselves, but there were very definitely explosions in here. A lot of explosions? Hella explosions.

...And because it wouldn't be a proper instance of "Blue walking into a room" otherwise, it...does look like there's a person on the floor, yes...]

No just kidding, this is what, the sixth time? Let's just go over and see who decided to play with explosions today.]

[The person lying there is obviously male, and obviously an adult. He's got a black suit on, though it's a different cut from Giovanni's usual and it's lacking any sort of insignia, and he has dark hair cut into fringe obscuring part of his face, due to how he's lying; this is probably a good thing, given that it looks like his face may have had a bit of a time of it. It's still there, this isn't a repeat of Byakuren where that sure did used to be a person's skull, but...

Honestly, it looks sort of like this guy's everything may have had a time of it. He's very obviously been roughed up, though as far as his body goes he looks surprisingly explosion-free - there are some powder burns on his face and his clothes, but nowhere near as much as there should be if he was playing with explosions full-on.

That isn't the only thing off about this one, either.

Namely, this guy is absolutely not anyone you recognize, from the Academy or otherwise.]

[Hard to say; he could be anywhere from a particularly awesome-looking early forties to a kind of a rough-looking mid-thirties, but it's somewhere around that general age bracket.]

Otherwise, it doesn't look like he's carrying much. No ID or anything, no weapons, and nothing too valuable.]
