Escape.

All things considered, everything has gone very well for you all, hasn't it? Twenty-two people died, but thirty people will leave this building. Congratulations, you all deserve it.

Though with that said, you still need to find the way out. For those of you who explored the floors in the closed wing of the building during the final investigation, you might have noticed that there were two floors you didn't explore, below the one Sol and Weiss investigated.

That might be a good place to start. Once more, for old time's sake.

>Explore?

He's certainly earned it. [ Beedwagon deserves so much ice cream after that. ]

Anyway, I've been wondering. What does Team Rocket do, and does working for you pay well?

...hang on a moment.

[...oh, right, Cabanela's all the way over there. Good.]

Well, I guess it isn't too hard to guess, but we're an organized crime syndicate that does research and development on the side. If there's anything like that back where you're from, I'd imagine you've got a pretty good idea of how well it can pay --- and believe me, I believe in rewarding my subordinates for their service.
shuttermouse: (CHAT ❈ did you break a guitar again)

Ah, so kind of like the yakuza? Except they don't do research on the side, they stick to running illegal casinos and other normal crime syndicate things.

[ Things that don't involve summoning god or whatever... Giovanni mentioned something about that during the final trial, she recalls. ]

Well, we have done that too, but that money's got to go towards something, right? I'm not going to pretend I don't indulge in the finer things in life, but I have enough healthy scientific curiosity that I like to fund some pet projects.

Besides, usually the research goes into things that would benefit the crime end of things, so it's really a win/win situation.

...

Your subordinates don't have to cut their fingers off when they mess up, right?

[ She's assuming no but it doesn't hurt to ask. ]
oftheland: (u n s u r e)

[personal profile] oftheland 2016-01-05 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
...

Well, no. I mean, it's tempting for the ones who summoned God, but I think that'd be the level of messing up you'd have to hit before I even halfway considered something like that.
shuttermouse: (DEFAULT ❈ bro you are embarrassing)

[personal profile] shuttermouse 2016-01-05 05:33 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, good. [ NOT CUTTING OFF FINGERS IS SUPER. ]

I'm interested in joining, assuming there's a way for me to move between dimensions after I go home. Not full-time since I have things to do back in my world, but I wouldn't mind doing jobs for you once in a while.

[personal profile] oftheland 2016-01-06 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I'd love to have you on. Honestly, I was pretty certain that if I offered you the job after that mess we went through was said and done with, you'd accept and do well, so... well.

I'm sure there are more ways than just the one that Rick has to move between dimensions.
shuttermouse: (OH ❈ who invited the rube)

[personal profile] shuttermouse 2016-01-06 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
Is there a Pokémon that can make interdimensional portals or something? My knowledge is admittedly very limited, but I'm sure there are at least a few that have godlike powers.
oftheland: (oh was that your mom)

[personal profile] oftheland 2016-01-06 01:13 am (UTC)(link)
Well... the thing is, there are some who supposedly can, but for very limited purposes... and I know of one that can do whatever it wants, but most of its existence is shrouded in mystery.

[personal profile] shuttermouse 2016-01-06 01:41 am (UTC)(link)
Damn, I guess you can't just lure it out with some food. It seemed pretty easy to get the powerful ones in the games... I didn't play much but the guy I borrowed Yellow from bragged about his six Mews.

[ ...It was called Mew, right? She only played Yellow for like a few hours when she was seven, she doesn't remember much other than there being a pink one named Jigglypuff. ]
oftheland: (u n s u r e)

[personal profile] oftheland 2016-01-06 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
...wait, how would you get six of those? I know it's just a game, but Mew is... definitely something there's not more than one of, I'm quite certain.
shuttermouse: (GLANCE ❈ tsukiyama's fashion sense tho)

[personal profile] shuttermouse 2016-01-06 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
Cheating, probably.
oftheland: no crimelording here! (why officer i'm completely law-abiding)

[personal profile] oftheland 2016-01-08 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
Ah... right. It is just a game, so I'd imagine it'd be easier to do that than it would be in real life.
shuttermouse: (THOUGHT ❈ what if i had witty keywords)

[personal profile] shuttermouse 2016-01-08 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. Real life's a lot different.

[ ... ]

So what kind of Pokémon do I get? Or do I get to choose?
oftheland: (unlimited smug works)

[personal profile] oftheland 2016-01-09 11:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, you can pick, although if you'd rather be surprised, I can definitely do that, too. Really, it's up to you.
shuttermouse: (THINKING ❈ we're all half centaur)

[personal profile] shuttermouse 2016-01-15 02:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmmm. What kind of Pokémon would be useful to have when I'm gathering information?
oftheland: (but that is not how type matchups work)

[personal profile] oftheland 2016-01-17 06:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmmm... a Ghost or a Psychic-type would probably be good, although I think something incredibly small like a Joltik would probably work out rather nicely.
