Escape.
| All things considered, everything has gone very well for you all, hasn't it? Twenty-two people died, but thirty people will leave this building. Congratulations, you all deserve it. Though with that said, you still need to find the way out. For those of you who explored the floors in the closed wing of the building during the final investigation, you might have noticed that there were two floors you didn't explore, below the one Sol and Weiss investigated. That might be a good place to start. Once more, for old time's sake. >Explore? |

The fifth floor down looks the same as the previous four - two rooms to explore. So which will it be? A or B?]

[Great. She doesn't need to worry, does she? ...no, no, investigating needs to happen.]
It probably won't be somethin' that bad! I explored some of the weird rooms on the other side, y'know?

He's also, admittedly, been kind of wanting an excuse to bust a hole in these walls for weeks.
So let's say he starts feeling up the interior walls on the west half of the fifth floor. Looking for hidden switches, movable paintings, mysteriously colored patches of wall, and tapping at various points in search of something that sounds different.
Will he have any luck? ]

... Nothing, it looks like.

[Let's head for the next floor and hope to god Rick doesn't just take everyone and fuck off with the portal gun the second he turns around.]

[He'll walk down the hallway to check the steel bulkhead in more detail; is it locked, does it look possible to open at all, are they just kind of boned?]

OUTDOORS.
It's not the heavy, oppressive blackness that indicates the presence of the shadows, nor is it the darkness that comes with opening a door into a room that doesn't have any windows or proper electricity. This is a natural sort of darkness, ambient and lessened a little by the occasional glimpse of moonlight through clouds, the soft beams reflected back off the snow coating the ground.
It's cold out. Brisk.
The snowfall is enough to be an even blanket of white over the ground, but not enough to make you sink too far into it; it's soft but only a couple of inches at the most, and the front of it is overlooking what looks to be a city of some sort.
It's quaint-looking, mostly, if largely in a state of disrepair; a bit strange to think that this was probably your captor's hometown, given how he tended to talk about it. However, his mark on the place is obvious - while it's still largely in one piece, it's entirely too quiet - the sort of unnatural silence that brings with it the knowledge that there hasn't been anyone living here for quite some time.
Welcome to the end of the world.]
2/2 - BODY...HORROR...IN THE LINK...
Why did Kimblee not warn you about the fuckin' zombies that might be out here - probably because several fuckheads wanted to cut his hands off. That might have had something to do with it.
That said, they don't seem to be a full apocalypse or anything, there are only like five of them and they aren't seeming like too huge a threat with the whole group around, but they should. Probably be dealt with. Eventually. Um.]
