WEEK 2 Two people are dead. Jean Kirstein and Caren have both died due to a tragic accident. Of course, you're not entirely innocent, are you? You voted, you played into this game the Coordinators are running. But you know the stakes now. You know what failure to complete Rule Seven really means. No more excuses from here on out. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Of course, exploring the building from here on will reveal something new: namely, a stairwell in the northeastern corner, leading upwards toward a new floor entirely. Another sign of how things are going to progress around here, maybe; chances are you'll enjoy what you've been given, but was it worth the lives of two people to obtain? The Vending Machine, yeah. I managed to get quite a few items from it, honestly...everything in there's so varied, it's kind of surprising. Back home, all they usually have in them is junk food, but this one has art pieces, tea bags, and stuffed animals!

That does raise a fascinating quandary. How do those two expect anyone to commit murder with so many potential witnesses around? Unless, of course, they expect the witnesses disposed of as well.

Normally you would save embellishments like that for after the dress was already complete. You'll need to start over, after you've cut the materials.

[Ms. Exposition is Rin's standard mode, but she looks apologetic at least. Sorry all your hard work has gone to waste, for however long you were at it... Oh! Rin perks up, turning the mess back around.]

Oh, but we might be able to save most of the fabric still, so there's that.

[There is a bit of hesitation there, as Luca internally debates on if Yuri is enough of a friend to warrant talking about that information. It's not something he is completely comfortable talking about. But they are alone in the library, and Yuri has been trustworthy so far, so.]

It was always assumed that I would travel as I got older. My wife, she...well. She needed an heir, not a husband. Especially not one with the preferences I have. So once that heir was provided, there was no reason for me not to travel. Out of the way, causing no trouble for her, that was the best way to do things.

Oh, that's great! Honestly, I really like this fabric a lot--it's so pretty and spring-like, I had to try and do something with it!

[It's admittedly pink with some flowers sprinkled throughout it, but it'd probably look cute, she bets.]

...I don't have any intention on going near Alena-san again, honestly. So...you don't have to worry about that.

Okay, so! A taser is basically something you can use to shock someone and disorient them. Let's pretend the bit that shocks is right here. [She points to the prongs of the fork.]

Basically, you can use that and jam it into someone, and press a button to administer a shock to them if you need to defend yourself. It's pretty powerful, honestly...if you shock a person in the wrong place, you may just wind up hurting them.

Does that make sense?

Well, I'm not the sort of person that can just idly stand by and accept this. I do think the parties have practical value, so I appreciate them on some level, but I really want to ensure as many people as possible get through this.

This building gives off an impression of being fairly old fashioned, wouldn't you say? I'd have expected the items in here to give off that vibe, too.

I'm not only concerned about that. It's that, and... Any other kind of harm.

[A sigh.]

I want to trust the others here not to hurt anyone no matter what they stand to gain, but I cannot discount the possibility that someone might do so. So, please... Keep your guard up and your wits about you at all times.

...So what I'm totally hearing is our toaster is possibly taken apart and totally irreparable because there's no way someone from ye olde times knows how to put one back together after they take it apart.

It's interesting, isn't it? I'm not used to remembering my dreams when I wake up, but this one... it almost felt like it wasn't a dream at all.
