WEEK 2.
Two people are dead. Jean Kirstein and Caren have both died due to a tragic accident. Of course, you're not entirely innocent, are you? You voted, you played into this game the Coordinators are running. But you know the stakes now. You know what failure to complete Rule Seven really means. No more excuses from here on out. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... Of course, exploring the building from here on will reveal something new: namely, a stairwell in the northeastern corner, leading upwards toward a new floor entirely. Another sign of how things are going to progress around here, maybe; chances are you'll enjoy what you've been given, but was it worth the lives of two people to obtain? |

[OOC: Welcome to week two of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Coordinators, you can do so through private meetings with Alena!]

...Where did you get that?
[Because Estelle has something that is very much a State Alchemist pocketwatch, even if he can't see the inside of it or any particularly identifying personal marks, he's very sure that that's the Amestrian military emblem on the outside, where in the world did that come from?]
no subject
It came from that machine. Do you recognize it?
no subject
This hasn't been in my possession for years, so I'm wondering how they got ahold of it... But yes, it's definitely something I recognize, it's something I received from the military upon becoming a State Alchemist in the first place.

A good message to have, if you ask me.
[...]
Do you mind if I keep this? [The watch.] I'm willing to give you something in exchange, should you want that.
no subject
She then motions to the pocket watch he's holding.]
If it's yours, please keep it. I don't need anything in exchange.
[She smiles, happy to let him have it especially since it does appear to be his.]
no subject
[He's slightly weirded out by the watch's presence here, if he's going to be entirely honest, but it's...sort of nice having it back? He doesn't know.]
Is it just the events of the weekend that have been concerning, or did something else happen?
no subject
I had a dream last night that was vivid and it felt very real. No, it was more a nightmare than a dream. Ever since I woke up, I can't get it out of my mind since I remember every instance of this dream. Usually you only remember bits and parts of a dream, but I remembered all of this one.
no subject
...Likewise, actually. At least in that it was exceedingly vivid, and unlike dreams that I usually tend to have.
no subject
[It seems like a coincidence, but...]
Did it feel like maybe you saw the future?
no subject
[He shifts a bit; his left hand slides over part of his suit jacket, ghosting over the left side of his abdomen a little before he slides it into his pocket.]
If anything, I'd say it was a subconscious attempt at explaining something that's been troubling me since I arrived.
no subject
What was troubling you, if I may ask?
no subject
The dream I had involved taking a violent injury to that particular area.
no subject
That... seems odd. Yet the fact that you arrived with scarring from an injury you don't remember getting... what does that all mean?
[She wonders if the dream and his scar is connected, but she's not sure if she wants to voice it especially since it's not for her to say.]
no subject
[...He showed up with, like, a veritable cavalcade of really hideous scars in really confusing locations, um.]
Honestly, at this point I really am questioning whether Miss Fern's theory was correct and Mr. Jericho just took a scalpel and had at.
[he cannot bring himself to call her 'Miss Green' because that strikes him as a little on-the-nose, so 'Miss Fern' will have to do]
no subject
[Again, Estelle was being special at that meeting. She's trying to recall but she was manic as fuck because Estelle is good at being manic as fuck sometimes.]
no subject
[And I mean, he entirely agreed with that notion because it seems like the sort of thing that would lead to...well, this.]
no subject
[This is the kind of stuff that flies over Estelle's head-- people like this who think they're 'saving the world', but in reality they're just fucking things up.]
no subject
no subject
[She looks down at the memento in her hands.]
I'll continue looking for a way to escape. I have to.
[Not that she's helped much, but she's determined now to at least try.]
no subject
It's an idea, at any rate.
no subject
[She'll keep that in mind until she's distracted by the library.]
