WEEK 3.

WEEK 3 You all got to witness Yosuke Hanamura's death earlier this past week. You know what the punishment for breaking the rules is. With Chitoge Kirisaki and Blue's deaths, you're painfully aware of just how little trust this group really has. How long until someone kills again? What about that time limit the Coordinators imposed? Will there be another incentive? There are so many questions, but not a whole lot of answers. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... And when you wake up, you'll discover that a pattern seems to be emerging, at least as far as the building itself goes; a new floor is available to you, a stairwell across a short hallway from the one on the second floor having unlocked itself. There's not too much of a question about it as a result - at least, as far as what it means. It's definitely a reward. PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 30

[The library is one of the places Adelina frequents most often, and when she sees Estelle there, she can't help but notice how unfocused the girl seems. After a few moments, she moves closer to her so she can speak up.]

That, or they just don't know how to pronounce any of our names. But I suppose that's a good point, too...they're really accurate for the people that they gave them to.

[...Still, Sayaka's eyes glint a bit at that last bit, and she reaches into her sleeve and pulls out a brass key.]

I can cross off one area for everyone, at least; I found this while I was searching around the bar. They had this in an empty bottle, next to all of the filled ones. Pretty clever of them, I have to say.

Not bad! You get one more turn, I think; it's supposed to be the best out of two.

[Rin clears the ball out of the way before backing up, returning to the original subject.]

I have fun doing something spontaneous every once in a while, but I understand it's not for everyone. If you don't like playing games, what do you usually do to relax?

[Rideaux's eyes widen at the sight of the key, and especially so at where Sayaka found it.]

You what? [Just. Give him a second.] And I was just there, fixing a drink for myself with those bottles. Had I known there would but an arbitrarily-placed key lying around...

[He's almost frustrated with himself for missing it. At least Sayaka found it though.]

What could that lead to, I wonder?

I thought you wanted to stay with the others in this building?

[She can't mean she wants to include the ones who died, right...? That's impossible, and Rin can't know anyone from her home. So maybe Sayaka wants to include celebrities? Rin taps her chin, waiting for the other girl to elaborate.]

Though I do see your point; two thirds of the people left are significantly older than us. That's part of why I said we can make each other follow rules if we want, like no one over 25, or allergic to shellfish, and so on.

It's okay. I admit I'm not sure what it'll do either, but that's what's so exciting about it! I think it'll just take some time to properly find out, if it works at all. I don't think I'm doing this even close to right.

[She chuckles a bit.]

Still, it is kind of fun. And it makes me wonder what other kind of flowers I could try this with.

He looks kinda sketchy.

[She hears Weiss' voice upon walking past the ballroom doors, and it makes her halt to listen. After the song is finished... Normally, she would give a polite round of applause, but it seems strange to do so with something that sounded so personal. Of course, it seems even stranger not to comment on it, so she makes her presence known and speaks once it's concluded.]

...It sounded lovely.

[JUDGE ALL YOU WANT IT IS A BREAKFAST.]

No need to get so huffy, Riddles! That just means the day can only get better from now on.

[bloodbiter]

[Her smile grows, and she nods.]

It's very exciting. Were you interested in artwork before you arrived here, Sayaka?

[Rideaux doesn't think much of it when he notices Katniss hovering around the entrance to the bar, only to disappear. But after the second or third time, he's just shaking his head.]

I can see you, you know.

[Calling her out, apparently.]

I found it while looking at all of the bottles earlier, after I dug a few out to try and see if I could find anything interesting. I was honestly just trying to check how many of the things in there were in different languages--it's a fair amount, for the record--but it wouldn't have been found without digging.

[She does purse her lips a bit at that last question, though.]

As for that...I'm not sure. I didn't find any sort of weird doors while looking around the bar. Maybe it's somewhere else on this floor? It'd make sense, but it'd make just as much sense that they'd put it on another floor entirely.

[ ... mmmmffff ]

[Oh yeah, no sane person has time for such in-depth—this is Rin Tohsaka you're talking to, Rideaux.]

What would be the technical way to put it?

Ah, well, I...

[...They were here, at least, and it'd make the pool a little more comfortable to get thrown face first into. Sayaka rubs the back of her head.]

Sorry. But yeah, I don't think I'd go too much older, for myself...I think 23 is the highest I'd prefer to go, but that's the only thing I have in mind. You?

Bowling. [And she's already anticipating the next question, so:] It's a sport.

[Hell yeah, fruity drink solidarity.

That said, Rideaux will speak up from staring down his own drink at the counter, while Tarrlok starts making his.]

Who knows? Maybe they had a bartending class?

[Highly unlikely, but hey. Not impossible, compared to how most of the logic of this place tends to be.]

Not really, actually? I never really had time for it with all of the work I was doing. [Sayaka shakes her head.] I never really had the time to do anything but work, go to school, or sleep. It's...not something I'm used to, having all of this free time like this.

[bloodbiter]

[The smile stays, though it does fade a bit; it's full of a sort of sympathetic understanding, now. While their lives might have been much different before arriving her, that's at least something Adelina can understand.]

It's strange to contend with suddenly, isn't it? If we were not in these awful circumstances, it might almost be a pleasant thing.

[bloodbiter]

I see. Is that what these balls were intended to be used for? I had assumed it was something to do with the tables they came on.

[Since she also doesn't know what billiards is.]

I really don't think you can claim that in a place like this.

It's a temporary thing, that's all. Like a bandaid. Gets you through the tough times and hey, if you're alive, you're alive. We mourn those we lose and we don't forget them as we move on.

[a beat.]

Rideaux.

[But it's more Ree-doh with her pronunciation.]

I was going to say just don't include Kirei, but there are a lot of older people here. I'll set the age limit for 25, for myself. That skews older than what I would consider, but this is just for fun and it adds variety.
