WEEK 3.

WEEK 3 You all got to witness Yosuke Hanamura's death earlier this past week. You know what the punishment for breaking the rules is. With Chitoge Kirisaki and Blue's deaths, you're painfully aware of just how little trust this group really has. How long until someone kills again? What about that time limit the Coordinators imposed? Will there be another incentive? There are so many questions, but not a whole lot of answers. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... And when you wake up, you'll discover that a pattern seems to be emerging, at least as far as the building itself goes; a new floor is available to you, a stairwell across a short hallway from the one on the second floor having unlocked itself. There's not too much of a question about it as a result - at least, as far as what it means. It's definitely a reward. PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 30

...And that. Ahahahaha, that. That gets a bit of an odd expression out of her--like, something that's supposed to be a smile, but it looks so utterly in disbelief. Like she doesn't believe it at all.]

[With a nod, he starts heading for one side of the room.]

Sure. So we don't drive ourselves mad checking every book, maybe just look for ones that stick out. Like it doesn't belong with the genre you're looking in, that sort of thing.

[With that, he starts getting to work. Thank goodness no one else is in here right now, otherwise they'd look so silly with how obvious about this they're being.]

So, Maizono. Read any books from here yourself?

Try not to lose track of that radio, either. It would be bad if someone used it against you.

[With one last appraising look, she's going to give Alex a little push towards her door.]

You shouldn't be inviting anyone in this week either, so I won't offer. Have a glass of water, then get some rest.

[Folding her hands behind her back, she'll wait for Alex to go in before leaving. The smile on her face is mask-like.]

[Well she has to stand out among the others, so obviously she would pick a unique one.]

Carrot? But that's... [Oh wait, look at the entire ensemble. She laughs the moment she gets it.] Wait, I understand now. Picturing the whole outfit, you really do look like you were plucked from the ground.

[She still likes her nickname better, but that is pretty good.]

So what you're saying is if Elda brings anything to one of the gatherings, we should immediately be incredibly suspicious.

[No, she gets that. Primarily, she knows she intruded too. If anything, Alex is too polite for humoring her.]

That's the feeling I get too from her. Just unhelpful, not like...a liar.

I wouldn't take anything from her, regardless. How well can you cook if you don't eat?

[ She sounds so unsure but can you even blame her. ]

I prefer snake, but like I said you really can't see that right now.

[ Actually wait, he'll stick out his tongue which is forked just like one. ]

He'll go ahead and get behind the counter to put a classic daiquiri together! It's sweet, and doesn't really have that much rum in it. He's shady as hell but he'll let the non-adults actually experiment with this stuff on their own. He doesn't feel like getting the other adults on his ass about it.

He slides it to Katniss once he's done, and strikes up a conversation while she tests it (if she tests it).]

So. It's been two weeks. Adapting to this game?

[ She looks at it a little suspiciously (habit, even if she's watched him carefully), but after she takes a sip, she relaxes. And then she takes another sip. Seems like she likes it. ]

I guess. [ She shrugs. ] Can you really get used to something like this?

At least they've been nice enough to provide all these things for us.

Yuri's told me he plans to ask around to see if there are more, so we'll just have to see about it.

[He's curious too!]

In other words, they have magic, just a different term for it. A good part of it lies with the differences in culture as well, I believe. Still, it's pretty amazing to find cultures from other worlds entirely that do share the same terms. I mentioned to Yuri that food was another interesting item of note in the same vein- that we've all been cooking our usual meals here, and yet they look like something I could also obtain back in Elympios.

Which makes it funny, that she's always talking about how she's sorry and doesn't want us to die.

Well, you can just take them. I can't think of anything I really need out of there, and I'm not going to do anything with them myself.

...Most of these books tend to range on the fictional side, from what I saw when this opened up, so maybe look for anything non-fiction...?

[She says that idly while she takes the other side and gets to work, thinking. Rin was able to find a little sewing book, and there seemed to be a little bit of stuff outside of that. She'll just kind of scan through the books idly, before Rideaux speaks up.]

A few, honestly. When we first found this place, I picked out a little stack of books to read in my room...they've been decent entertainment, if...honestly kind of trashy.

That's probably why I didn't drink for a while, before I came here. Too pathetic even for me...

But yeah. God knows we can't just teetotal in here.

Yep. But honestly, some days a cheap box wine will get the job done. When you're feeling particularly desperate.

That said, there is some wine here if you really want to experience some. I saw some on one of the shelves.

With the way things have been going in this place, I'd say we'll have plenty of opportunities to drink an evening away before we get out.

Chances are, though, if we're getting piss drunk because of whatever's happened later on, it's likely everyone else would be too.
