WEEK 4.
Walter White and Fern Green have joined the deceased. Their losses will be felt, just like all the deaths before them. While you might be tempted to put that mess of a trial out of your heads, it's hard to forget what happened. It's even harder to ignore the secrets that have been revealed, still burned into the wall of the dining room. You all have a lot to discuss, don't you? Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... The past week's trial seemed to be hard on everyone, including your captors, it seems that you're still being rewarded for your work; a new floor has been opened up to you, and along with it the return of the uneasy sense that they approve of what you're doing here: killing each other, picking one another off, singling each other out in the trials. It's likely not a pleasant feeling, knowing you're giving them what they want. But what else is there to be done? |

[OOC: Welcome to week four of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Coordinators, you can do so through private meetings with Alena!]

[...God. This is just a mess, and she's gonna just. Lay down a bit, her mind wandering some. At least the lights being off means her head isn't gonna ache as bad as she thinks about it.]
That'd make the most sense, wouldn't it?
no subject
[ Mmm. She'll just crouch here next to Sayaka's bed, looking up at the girl. ]
no subject
...It wouldn't be surprising. I don't know what...really could have happened in the other school, but...
[She curls in a bit closer to herself, just...shaking her head.]
It's...I don't understand it at all...
no subject
Would you walk me through it? Or shall I tell you what has me fretting so?
no subject
Um...tell me what you're fretting over, first, please.
[Maybe it'll help her understand her own matters.]

My own memories have all ben much enough in order, over the period of a few days. I awoke, tracked down Karin, and found her failing to kiss her ... boyfriend, I suppose. and once I stopped them, hoisted her home - well.
... The boy's been told our secret, and the family is content to allow it. For- some reason. [ But even as she says "some reason, " the reasoning of it is obvious to her now. She frowns further. ] ... Karin's a late bloomer. I... well, yes, we'll start there. She can still venture out in the sun, and they consider the boy something of a guardian during that time, when we can't operate.
no subject
...You found out the reason they allowed it, then, didn't you? If...being Karin-chan's guardian isn't simply that reason. She has someone protecting her out there, when you all aren't able to.
[That seems like reason enough, at least, but there's gotta be more to it that she's not getting.]
no subject
[ She bites her lip here, as if unsure how much to share of what comes next. She... ]
... My granddaughter is not a normal vampire. She told me herself, in the most recent memory. I do not yet know how, but she sympathized with a halfbreed, of all things.
no subject
[She's not really sure what to make of that but. Sure? Let's go with that. That next bit, though.]
Wait, wait, a halfbreed? That's...something that can... [...] I'm guessing the existence of...something like them, that's extremely frowned upon, isn't it?
no subject
Halfbreeds are a cruel joke. They have no future.
no subject
[What does she mean by that?]
no subject
[ She grits her teeth and then shakes her head ] They're caught between both worlds, and unable to make their own third world. Usually, they blame their vampire parents for their flawed bodies and grow outward resentment. They start out unwanted... and then they just become a threat..
no subject
...I'm so sorry, Marker-san. That's...maybe Karin-chan just doesn't know any better?
[She doesn't know the girl, but hell, Sayaka's been sheltered enough from the world. Maybe it was the same for her.]
Have they been threatening her...?
no subject
[ She gnashes her teeth together, running a hand through her hair is frustration. Her mannerisms are a bit wide-eyed, perhaps even a little manic. ]
There was some mongrel halfbreed snooping around our territory, even working at the same place Karin works! I tracked her down and I intended to deal with her the only way anyone ought to, and then Karin tearfully tells me I'm being cruel! That she and that thing are the same! What, did Henry have an affair with some human wench or something?!
no subject
I'm--I'm sorry I asked...
[She has no idea of that, but god. Vampire politics are some shit, clearly.]
She probably just...didn't even know better, and wanted to view the best of that person...
no subject
[ . . . Yeah still loud. ]
Not normal. Not normal? You asked if there are different types, of course there aren't. What does that even mean?!
no subject
[This is slowly turning into a mess and she is not here for the screaming, good god. She practically squeezes her eyes shut.]
no subject
Because she said so herself, a tearful admission as she stayed my hand.
[ . . . So yeah the implication here is she was totally going to kill Yuriya??? but yeah. She can't get the scene out of her head. Karin's words...
"I know you can be tough... but I always thought you were a kind person."
... There was more to it. There... ]
... I'm dancing around the issue anyway. She spelled it out, but there's no way she can be right, the reality of it - that's absurd.
no subject
...She doesn't want to think of it, but once she calms...]
What...what did she say to you, then? What can't be right?
no subject
Karin... ]
... That she'd already awoken as a vampire, but she can still walk out in the sun. I know she can still taste food, too. But she's got her fangs and her ears - and she... [ This sounds so insane, she's still not worked through it: ] She gives blood. Her body produces blood and if she doesn't bite people, she overflows and shoots the blood out.
no subject
At the very least, it makes the shock of what Elda says a little...less explicitly weird, even if she does peer up a bit in shock.]
Is that...simply something that doesn't happen? That sounds so weird...vampires are supposed to take blood, aren't they? Not produce it. That makes so little sense...
[Is she a halfbreed, then? Is that just...something that happens, to halfbreeds? She's not even close to sure.]
How does something like that happen...?
no subject
[ Can Sayaka connect the dots to why this has Elda so jittery and tense yet? ]
I've never even heard of something like that. A blood making vampire? ... And the rest of them knew, Ren tried to silence her when she shouted it at me, Henry said they'd explain the rest at home at the end of my memory. ... So no. I don't know anything.
[ It's absurd. It's absurd and means Karin's an aberration. Flawed, on a level even beyond a half-breed, honestly. The girl herself put it (though those words now pain Elda to remember) "A failure of a vampire." ]
no subject
Sayaka doesn't say this, admittedly, just...listening to Elda, and reaching to hold onto one of her hands.]
Do you trust them to tell you the whole truth of the matter, Marker-san?
no subject
[ . . . I MEAN YOU DID TRY TO MURDER YURIYA??? ]
But I don't know that yet.
no subject
...Please have faith in them, Marker-san. They may have had worries of their own in regards to her, and simply needed time to work them out.
