trustfell | WEEK 4.

WEEK 4
Walter White and Fern Green have joined the deceased. Their losses will be felt, just like all the deaths before them. While you might be tempted to put that mess of a trial out of your heads, it's hard to forget what happened. It's even harder to ignore the secrets that have been revealed, still burned into the wall of the dining room.

You all have a lot to discuss, don't you?

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

The past week's trial seemed to be hard on everyone, including your captors, it seems that you're still being rewarded for your work; a new floor has been opened up to you, and along with it the return of the uneasy sense that they approve of what you're doing here: killing each other, picking one another off, singling each other out in the trials.

It's likely not a pleasant feeling, knowing you're giving them what they want. But what else is there to be done?

I'm not really very good at sewing...I guess we could bake something? [She pretty much knows how to do that, especially if they just find a cookbook.]

Was it a very big snake?

Baking's fun! I know how to make donuts! Ah, and I know how to make muffins!

[Even without a recipe book! She does a lot of cooking.]

Hebika's only a small Gartner snake! She's really well-behaved, but she likes to play in the laundry room because of all the warm laundry.

Oh, really? I haven't done a lot of baking lately...or ever.

Yep! I cook every morning and every night when I get home. I'm proud of my body so I can't go around eatin' junk food all the time. And Okinawan food is the best kinda food! You've heard of Okinawa, right?

Sure. It's in Japan. I've never really gone abroad that much, though - definitely never that far.

It's the southernmost island of Japan! The difference between Tokyo and Okinawa is like...the difference between a panda and a red panda! It's the greatest place in the world.

[Her metaphors need work.]

But that's sorta why I learned to bake. One of our specialties is sata andagi, which is kinda like a donut! I wanted to make 'em for all my friends.

[She's pretty sure those are two completely different animals...]

That sounds fun. There's not really much point in baking, if you haven't got anybody to share it with.

Mm! I could bake for me, too...but I'd have to work out a lot more to stay in shape if I did, hehe. Being an idol, I can't just spend all day eatin' cupcakes and muffins.

At least, not every day.

Isn't all that dancing exercise enough? I couldn't keep that up a quarter of the time some of those girls do.

That's right! [She's happy for some reason that Susan is talking about her career...it feels nice.] But I don't have choreography lessons every day. And if I'm doin' TV work, I don't have dancing at all. I was in a TV special earlier this year, and acting work is really different.

[She might have some opinions on British pop stars suddenly thinking they're capable actors, but, ah.]

Mm. I think I like it a lot. It's like...there's me, Hibiki. And there's another girl who isn't me, but who I'm playing. I have to reach down inside myself...what do we feel that's the same? How have we both felt pain? How have we both felt love? And I express that in my performance.

[She rubs her neck, a little embarrassed by how silly and unprofessional her answer must sound.]

It sounds like you've thought about it a lot.

[She's actually pretty impressed? Susan is no actress, but that sounds as reasonable an approach as any in her opinion.]

Do you do much of it?

Yeah. I have. It took me a while to get there, but the film was really well-received. I'm thankful to everyone who helped me get there.

[There's more than politeness there. There's a story of people she actually asked for advice and how she trained to overcome her naivety to act in a serious production, but that's best saved for another day.]

Right now, I'm workin' on a television segment where I introduce children in Japan to wild animals in wildlife reserves. It's perfect for me! I also have a weekly segment on a talk show called 'Hibiki Challenge' where the staff sets a goal for me to complete by the end of broadcast and I'm filmed tryin' to complete it. I usually win! I think. So it's not actin', but...bein' on TV is a lot of fun! I'm glad I get to do pieces of everything.

Oh, god. What kind of goals?

[That sounds either hilarious or horrible.]

One time, they dropped me off outside the city and had me race back to the studio! But I got lost. And another time, I had to catch an octopus! I ended up finding a shark, too.

What, in the ocean?

Where else would you find an octopus?

[She's not being sarcastic, she's genuinely confused.]

They just threw you in the ocean and told you to find an octopus? That’s insane! And dangerous?

Ah! I had staff, diving equipment, and a boat for that segment!

[But now she grins, because it feels nice to be worried about.]

Don't worry! I'm always with a crew for Hibiki Challenge! They take very good care of me and get every shot at the same time.

Did they get the shark?

Mm. The shark was taken care of by an expert.

It is, it's a lot of fun. Idols do a lot of variety shows to promote ourselves or just to entertain. Do they have those in England?

[She can't even imagine what being in England is like. ...She probably can't find England on a map.]

I don't really know what the current trends are. I couldn't really tell you who's popular these days.
