WEEK 4.
Walter White and Fern Green have joined the deceased. Their losses will be felt, just like all the deaths before them. While you might be tempted to put that mess of a trial out of your heads, it's hard to forget what happened. It's even harder to ignore the secrets that have been revealed, still burned into the wall of the dining room. You all have a lot to discuss, don't you? Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... The past week's trial seemed to be hard on everyone, including your captors, it seems that you're still being rewarded for your work; a new floor has been opened up to you, and along with it the return of the uneasy sense that they approve of what you're doing here: killing each other, picking one another off, singling each other out in the trials. It's likely not a pleasant feeling, knowing you're giving them what they want. But what else is there to be done? |

[OOC: Welcome to week four of Trustfell! Feel free to make as many top levels as you'd like and tag out to other characters! This post is for all of your interactions this week... at least until the weekend. Don't forget to save those threads for coins and the activity check!
If you'd like to get in contact with the Coordinators, you can do so through private meetings with Alena!]

Not looking at Elda, her voice is cool.]
In so far as this building, huh...? [She'll attempt to brush Elda's hand aside; not forcefully, just away from herself.] With such a qualifier, you may be accurate, but what you told me still stands.
Vampires in your world aren't the same as the ones I've heard of. Unless you'd told them otherwise, I'd estimate the others will be just as far off base about your weaknesses or miss them completely.
Since you could beat most of them in a contest of strength, it's an unfavorable situation that still works to your advantage.

I wasn't the one who jumped to deal with things. There's a threat in that secret for you.
[ She clarifies that, but... weaknesses.
... She won't mention the obvious issue there and, ]
Hopefully.

[Well, in part. Rin pulls the section of scarf she was working on free from the machine, and cuts the thread connecting it with a pair of scissors.]

If I had bats, yes... I probably could. Well, easily, with my family.
[ However, she's clearly boasting, given her initial hesitation. ]

You're not able to offer that aid, so it's moot, but with that kind of assistance and any luck, 1/5 of Fuyuki's population might be spared.
[Surprise, she was kind of. Lowballing the estimate earlier.]
It's a small enough fraction, they'd undoubtedly be dragged into the repercussions regardless. I doubt the Mage's Association would take that kind of chance, at any rate. Even knowing that, I'd try the same tactic myself with smaller results, so it's not like I can criticize just you for a plan that won't work.

[ A dramatic sigh, as if this is such a burden. ]

Even if there's only one witness and various ways to handle the situation, you can expect with 99% certainty that the witness will be swiftly done away with. That's just how they are, even with each other.

[ she takes a step back from the table, brushing back her hair. though she's saying that with confidence... the girl's desperation does make more sense now. ]

[ but hey, what does she know? She just shrugs. ]

Yeah. The Mage's Association is both more and less involved than they are, in that case. They're devoted to the study and development of magecraft, and its concealment from the world, but not much else.
It's at once strictly regulated and neglectful. If it's an awful crime, they won't mind it, but they'll deal with you promptly if it causes problems.

[ . . . LOOK. ]

I could do it if I had to. It's just yet to be necessary.

... But okay, whatever? You know as long as they're going to keep talking she might as well pull up a chair to sit here too. ]

So there's more vampires than just you and your family represented at those meetings, huh?
no subject
[ Three hundred. ... That's really about all that's left, isn't it? ]
