WEEK 4.

WEEK 4

Walter White and Fern Green have joined the deceased. Their losses will be felt, just like all the deaths before them. While you might be tempted to put that mess of a trial out of your heads, it's hard to forget what happened. It's even harder to ignore the secrets that have been revealed, still burned into the wall of the dining room.

You all have a lot to discuss, don't you?

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

The past week's trial seemed to be hard on everyone, including your captors, it seems that you're still being rewarded for your work; a new floor has been opened up to you, and along with it the return of the uneasy sense that they approve of what you're doing here: killing each other, picking one another off, singling each other out in the trials.

It's likely not a pleasant feeling, knowing you're giving them what they want. But what else is there to be done?

I'm near to dead certain he doesn't. I mean, every trial we've got some people who butt out - our two resident gods, some of the younger folks, so on. But they at least seem to be paying attention.

[ :T ]
ninehundredlives: ([ show it to ])

[personal profile] ninehundredlives 2017-10-09 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
I can't really blame them for that. Not everyone is going to be good at that kind of thing. But at least they listen, when all our lives are on the line. He might as well just bring a book.
matchbreaker: (the one below was the worse option)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-10-09 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
Oh no, I do not fault them, not specifically.

[ She... Puts a hand to her chin. ] I can't say I've got any expertise either, after all.
ninehundredlives: ([ the lamb ])

[personal profile] ninehundredlives 2017-10-09 03:20 am (UTC)(link)
You've done alright so far. Hardly any of us really know what we're doing - the Inspector, maybe, but he's probably used to having people to analyze all the forensics for him. We could use fingerprints and DNA evidence and all that, in here.

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-10-09 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
I barely even know what that second thing is.

[ Ugh.

... Alright, huh. Well, she'll take it. ]

You've been very useful, for better or worse, Ashworth.
ninehundredlives: ([ a match with no spark ])

[personal profile] ninehundredlives 2017-10-09 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
.....thanks.

[oh god how do you do compliments. even weird back-handed ones.]

It's like...you can test some blood, or a hair or something, and figure out if it came from a specific person.
matchbreaker: (She-Hulk!)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-10-09 04:20 am (UTC)(link)
Oh golly, humans figured out how to do that?

[ . . .

oops? ]
ninehundredlives: ([ a match with no spark ])

[personal profile] ninehundredlives 2017-10-09 03:12 pm (UTC)(link)
...yeah, eventually. Can you do that?
matchbreaker: (wait that's the wrong lyrics)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-10-09 09:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, no.

[ . . . ]
ninehundredlives: ([ a match with no spark ])

[personal profile] ninehundredlives 2017-10-09 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)
...allllllright.

Well, we've solved all of these so far without it. Checking for wounds is about as good as identifying blood.
matchbreaker: (She-Hulk!)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-10-10 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
Oh certainly, crimes were solved for centuries without that such, after all.

[ anyway, she rocks in her seat again. They got away from the original topic of the letter but... what more does she even have to say? They sort of got that out of the way, right? It doesn't sit perfectly with her, but it's quite fair enough. ]
ninehundredlives: ([ and you're not coming ])

[personal profile] ninehundredlives 2017-10-10 12:11 am (UTC)(link)
[Yeah, Susan is...pretty okay with getting away from the topic of the letter. At the same time, though, it's a little awkward being in here talking around it.]

...well. [She folds it up with two sharp creases and puts it in her pocket as she stands.] I'm not just going to kill myself out of nowhere, here. Don't let somebody use one of these to set up some kind of fake suicide.
matchbreaker: (Our names won't be remembered)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-10-10 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
I won't.

[ She nods, and with the topic back on hand: ]

I'll be sure to vouch for you, if need be.
ninehundredlives: ([ got to flee ])

[personal profile] ninehundredlives 2017-10-10 12:27 am (UTC)(link)
Good. I don't want to be somebody's stalking horse. You'll know if I did it intentionally.
matchbreaker: (Degrassi)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-10-10 12:30 am (UTC)(link)
To that end, leave some personal message for me. One that only we'll know.

[ Like. Just to be absolutely sure. ]
ninehundredlives: ([ no more games ])

[personal profile] ninehundredlives 2017-10-10 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
That's a good idea. Like a code word, or something.

[Let her think for a second.]

I'll say something about candles, alright?
matchbreaker: (Fear is the heart of love)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-10-10 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
[ Candles... she'd wish for something more specific to her, but going to specific to her might implicate her and that's the last thing she wants. So Elda's going to nod and : ]

That sounds good to me.
ninehundredlives: ([ a match with no spark ])

[personal profile] ninehundredlives 2017-10-10 02:17 am (UTC)(link)
[Well, if she addresses people, she'll do it properly.]

Alright. I'll...see you later, then. [Thanks for finding my suicide note? Ugh]
matchbreaker: (Depression News)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-10-10 02:18 am (UTC)(link)
Y-yes, I imagine you will.

[ Have a nicer... day? Ugh, what do you say here?

... At a loss for that, she just leaps to her feet to get the door for Susan. ]
