It's time for an after party!
[About an hour after the trial and subsequent execution, Cabanela makes a decision.
They need to do something, keep the morale up, however little it may be.
Under each occupied room door people will find the following note written:
In difficult times such as this, it is important to carry on.
Don't give into despair; we must preservere.
If you don't want to be alone this evening, meet me in the dining hall.
-Cabanela
[Upon entering the dinning hall, you will find Cabanela sitting at one of the tables; he has lit two candles that are placed at the center of the table, but there's nothing else to note.
You'll have to supply your own food, since he doesn't have much of an appetite.]

[ And so it has been ordained cool by the power vested in him as a teenage boy. Which also means that Bakugou is going to move right along from talking about everything that just happened because he isn't equipped for that kind of conversation, and even he recognizes that at a time like this mentioning "well, his plan wasn't awful if the point was to get at least one of you out alive" seems like ripping open a metaphorical wound and dumping an entire salt shaker out on it. ]
... Who are you writing to?

My sister. She... should be the one in charge of Albion at the moment and she needs to know that Reaver won't be returning.
[He folds his hands in an attempt to disguise the fact that they're shaking. It's difficult to tell that this is messing with him otherwise though; his voice and expression are both stiff but otherwise unemotional.]

[ He doesn't really know how this royal succession thing works. Can you have an older sister be second in line?
... He can kind of tell there's a tension here, but he's going to ignore it in favor of going on with Vaguely Normal Conversation. ]

She's several years younger than I am; I was raised to take the throne and she was mostly left to her own devices.
[...In other words, she's gonna suck at this.]

[ Oh, Bakugou. Good thing he doesn't want to be prime minister, just a superhero. ]

[It helps when your mom was literally a hero.]
Etiquette and swordplay were the primary skills my sister was taught, though my education included more information on how to properly rule. My mother was the first monarch, so much of my training was trial and error.
[She was also kind of a bad mother, but you know what, she tried really hard.]

Hey, a leader who knows how to beat the shit outta others is a leader I can get behind. [ Bakugou no... ] Man, I didn't even realize that rulers learned that kinda thing. Swordfighting's kinda oldfashioned, I guess, but it still sounds cool as fuck.

It's either that or guns and my aim is horrible.
[He's like, impressively bad.]
Most people in Albion carry both, though hammers are nearly as common as swords.
[Because swinging around a giant warhammer isn't weird at all.]

Holy shit.
[ ... ]
That is so. Fucking. Awesome.
no subject
[...you'd love Reaver, then.]
I didn't think you would find that so fascinating.
no subject
Smashing shit up with a hammer... Man, you could wreck so much stuff with that. [ ... Well, at least he's not saying "people", just "stuff". ] Besides, swords are everywhere in history and movies and whatever, literally anything else sounds cooler.

[HE SPENT SEVERAL MONTHS KILLING EVERY SINGLE LAST TROLL IN ALBION WITH HAMMERS, it was all sorts of dumb.]
no subject
Okay, so. If a giant fucking warhammer comes out of that vending machine thing somehow, you gotta show me right away.
[ p r i o r i t i e s ]

[Huh. If a giant fucking warhammer comes out of that vending machine thing somehow, he will totally show you right away.]
no subject
Well, hey. At least there's one silver lining to this otherwise shitty day.
[ The silver lining is an instrument of destruction... ]
no subject
Yes, at least there's that.
[It's... not anywhere near enough to make up for what's happened, but it's something.
...Though...]
Albion used to have a wider variety of weapons that even civilians used to keep themselves safe. My mother had a cleaver she used for some time.
[LET'S AGGRESSIVELY IGNORE EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED AND TALK ABOUT WEAPONS]

Your kingdom sounds hard fucking core. Man, if it didn't sound like it should probably break approximately ten gazillion rules on how the universe works, I'd wanna visit.
[ He'd be disappointed that not literally every single person there is a weapon wielding monster slayer. ]
no subject
Considering we're all here - wherever here is - I'd assume those rules have already been broken.
[come to albion, it'll be shitty
actually please don't come, you'll die along with everyone else]
