[About an hour after the trial and subsequent execution, Cabanela makes a decision.

They need to do something, keep the morale up, however little it may be.

Under each occupied room door people will find the following note written:


In difficult times such as this, it is important to carry on.
Don't give into despair; we must preservere.
If you don't want to be alone this evening, meet me in the dining hall.

[Upon entering the dinning hall, you will find Cabanela sitting at one of the tables; he has lit two candles that are placed at the center of the table, but there's nothing else to note.

You'll have to supply your own food, since he doesn't have much of an appetite.]

I would have, like, stolen it if he was alive too. [She only has stealing to entertain her here.] But now it's, like, he's gone but I have his stuff so whatever.

Uhh.. okay? I guess that's - I-I guess that's fair... somehow. [At least she's not like destroying his stuff or something.]

What are you even gonna do with his stuff? Just keep it 'cause you can or...

Well, he had, like, a million maid outfits so I have more clothes now and stuff? But most of it I'm just keeping because I can. [A beat.] Oh, and I ate this weird fruit I found in his room.

M-maid outfits? [Poor.. poor Kaneki.]

Um.. a-as long as you're not like destroying his stuff then I don't really care what you do with it. But maybe.. you should give some of it to people who cared about him? [He's not sure who got close to Kaneki or anything, but it's y'know. It's just a thought.]

Well, like, if they want it they can come fight me for it. I only gave dibs on the dead guy's stuff to Logan because, like, they were boyfriends.

Well, I think it was more like. Reaver would have been dtf, but Logan is having a big gay crisis and he won't admit his feelings? So now Reaver's dead and stuff and Logan's just gonna be, like, on his bed being all "this pillow smells like him" and crying.

[Or not crying. Probably not crying, he's too stoic and shit for that.]

Oh man... that - that sounds really rough. [Of course he buys it because it sounds 100% plausible.]

So Reaver died before he could confess his feelings to him? J-jeez...

Yeah, he's like. Super in denial about his feelings? Earlier he was all "Tabby, I don't care about Reaver, but I'm taking his stuff because he would have wanted me to have it!" and it was just, like, really sad?

I mean, Reaver was total , but like. I dated a literal supervillain once so I can't even talk.

Maybe we should do something to cheer King Logan up? L-like I dunno... convince him there's someone better for him out there or something? [That's how he gets over his crushes, anyway.]

Yeah, uh. It was not the, like, brightest choice I ever made? Also nah, it's fine. He just needs to, like, have some time to himself to, like, come to grips with his feelings and stuff.

I guess so... I just feel bad for him though. I-I can't imagine what it'd be like to lose someone you like because they died before you could even say anything. [He kind of dealt with the same problem, but moved timelines to continue crushing on an alternate dimension version of the same girl so technically, not the same.]

I wouldn't, like, mention it or anything? It's, like, kind of raw and stuff, so he's all pissy about it and, like, I think it just upsets him.

I hope their kingdom is gonna be okay, at least. I mean, six million people... jeez.

It's fine, like. After a war everything'll probably sort itself out or whatever. Logan was, like, exaggerating. Nobody has that kind of power.

Y'know, that actually makes me feel a lot better after what happened. I mean, I dunno if you're - if a superhero'll definitely save them all b-but someone has to, right? I-if something bad's happening then someone will wanna stop it.
