[About an hour after the trial and subsequent execution, Cabanela makes a decision.

They need to do something, keep the morale up, however little it may be.

Under each occupied room door people will find the following note written:


In difficult times such as this, it is important to carry on.
Don't give into despair; we must preservere.
If you don't want to be alone this evening, meet me in the dining hall.

[Upon entering the dinning hall, you will find Cabanela sitting at one of the tables; he has lit two candles that are placed at the center of the table, but there's nothing else to note.

You'll have to supply your own food, since he doesn't have much of an appetite.]

[She's a bit surprised Barkeep is coming over to talk to her, but she doesn't mind. They all survived that...that trial together, and her annoyance at him is easily forgotten in the face of adversity and fatigue.]

...Apartments are tiny with two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a bit of livin' area enough for a dog. You can't fit a river in there, unless you got some wormhole technology I ain't aware of.

Sure. Sure they do. Doesn't it take a lot of time in your day to look after all of them?

I think callin' me rich is a little rude, don't you? Aside from the money my mom gave me to move, I pay for everythin' myself! It's a lot of hard work.

I spend all my mornings and all my evenings with them! But the rest of the time, I'm at work. Sometimes, I'll take two of 'em with me. Do you have any pets yourself?

How's that rude? Havin' the money to buy a fancy place like that's a good thing. Most folks would be jealous. What's even a kid your age doin' for work?

No, I don't got the time. Keepin' trouble out of my saloon takes up most of my day. Sure, there's my rocket horse, but that ain't a pet, just somethin' I used for travelin'.
