[Another week, another set of disasters. Hibiki’s head is still reeling from the lengthy ordeal that was Solf J. Kimblee. But it’s because of that exasperation that she’s able to turn her restlessness into something useful. It’s too late to set about making curry for everyone, so it’s time to make some easier dishes. A replication of Fern’s mac-and-cheese, somehow she’s whipped up some kind of donut to go with her animal-shaped rice balls. There’s coffee, tea...hopefully it’s enough? And if it’s not, Rin has provided some delicious Chinese food. And that always tastes better late at night, doesn’t it?

And for the adults (or the exasperated teenagers), Susan is carting down booze from the bar. Joy. Hibiki’s never written to the group en masse before, but she delivers a piece of paper to everyone while Rin and Susan finish up the preparations. Each paper has a drawing of an animal on it, too.]

Too much has happened today. Whether you want to get angry, cry, smile, laugh, or just be out of your room, you don’t have to do it alone. Rin and I have prepared food for everyone, and Susan’s brought the drinks downstairs so none of us have to go into the bar tonight.

Even if it’s just for a little while, won’t you think about joining us in the dining room tonight? Being together is just as important as working hard. And remember, nankurunaisa!

[Three more candles are lit today. Tabitha Smith. Sigrun Eide. Solf Kimblee. They’re all Cabanela’s doing. There aren't any decorations, but the food is spaced out so everyone should be able to grab something and munch if they need it. It’s not clear how many people will come, but a serious attempt was made this time.]

Hey, Yuri-san. Are you doing okay? I wasn't expecting anyone else to drop by.

[ He'll go down and plot himself at a seat. ]

Yeah, I am. Actually, I'm a little surprised there aren't that many people down here yet.

[ Considering...everything. ]

They brought down a bit of alcohol for the party, down there--I imagine not too many people would wanna be up here, all things considered.

[Clearly, they're exceptions.]

But then again, people do seem to love their drinks. I doubt it'll stay like this forever, though I'm happy to have some time to experiment with some of these mixer things...

[ ... Right, this is where the murder occurred, and he just walked right back into the bar like it was no big deal. Whoops. ]

Drinks or no, I guess I'm just used to wandering in here right after a trial's happened.

[ ... ]

I don't think I've touched any of those yet. If only because I just pick out whatever without mixing stuff around. How's it going with that?

It's not a bad place to be, honestly. Even after all of this...it's just kind of the place to gravitate toward, you know?

[Sayaka shows off her drink a bit with a grin.]

I tend to like my drinks sweet, so this right here? It's amazing. It's raspberry...something, coconut cream, and rum. There's a whole bunch of other kinds down there, too...I don't think they're all sweet, but I saw a lot of variety, if you want to try something for yourself.

It really is.

[ He cracks a bit of a smile at that. ]

I've been only trying the usual beer, to be honest. I'm not picky with my alcohol but I don't go usually searching for anything else than the regular, but it might not be a bad idea to try something new.

Is it actually good? Alex drinks it too, and I think some of the others do as well, but it seems like an odd choice...

[Sayaka seems to brighten a bit, though.]

Go for it, though! Maybe you'll stumble across something you'd like--it's not like it'll be all gone tomorrow, after all.

Yeah, I'd say it's about fairly decent.

[ He'll nod. ]

Unless someone decides they feel like pouring out all of the alcohol for whatever reason.

[ He's being lighthearted here though because who would even do that!! ]

...If they do, we'll have to hold a trial for them in the dining room. I doubt anyone would wanna take that lying down.

[Honestly with people as they are, she wouldn't be surprised if they tried. I mean. Unless it was one of the two terrors, of course.]

[ Yuri thinks it'd certainly be a possibility for sure, yeah. ]

It'd probably be over pretty quickly, though. No one would want to spend too much time in there when they don't have to.

That, or the scent of alcohol will give them away instantly. If they spill that much, they're bound to get a splash of some on them.

[Still, she does understand. And just...sighs, a bit.]

...Maybe that's a bit too much to discuss, though.

[ Look at them, talking about hypothetical trials. ]

Yeah. Well, at least we know it probably wouldn't happen. We already have enough on our hands to deal with.

Isn't that the truth...

[...Sayaka gets up from her seat for a moment.]

Hey, I'm gonna go up and make something. Would you like me to make something for you, too?

[ ...He's kind of realizing he hasn't had dinner yet and he's pretty hungry after everything, hah. ]

I didn't get a chance to grab a bite of anything before heading over here, so that'd be pretty great, actually.

[ He'll get up. Maybe he should wait on the alcohol until he's eaten something. ]

And I guess I'll come along too, if you don't mind.

Oh--that'd be wonderful, actually.

[...She actually seems happy about that even if the more rational part of her mind is telling her it's because he's worried about being poisoned, probably. That makes sense, at least.

Either way, she grins a bit--let's get a move on to the kitchen.]

What do you prefer, Yuri-san? I've always been good at making more savory foods, but I don't want to make an assumption and be off the mark.

Right now, all Yuri can think about is eating food. He's not in the mood for thinking too hard right after a long trial, whoops. ]

I'm fine with whatever you're thinking of making--though I guess I feel in the mood for some seafood. It's been awhile since I've had anything with that.

Hmm...I think I could make something like that. Fish dishes have always been fun to make.

[She'll think while they walk, before beaming brightly when she comes up with an idea.]

Have you ever had Tempura before, Yuri-san?

I think I've had it before.

[ Because that's a dish that can actually be made in the game too. ]

Been awhile though, so how about we go with that?

[Alright, here we are! Just let her get started on all of that, she's got this shit down pat.]

So they have that where you come from, then? What sort of other dishes do they have?

Stuff like Mabo Curry, Fisherman's Hot Pot...

[ ... Yuri pauses because he's just listing off his favorites here. Whoops. ]

... Beef Curry too. There's a lot of dishes, actually. It'd take me awhile to list all of 'em.

Anyway, you got anything you like to eat?

...Perhaps you could teach me the recipes for those at some point. They sound rather delicious, honestly--I've always been a fan of curry, in particular.

[It's something she's good at making, if nothing else! As for the question posed back, Sayaka has to think for a moment.]

Sweets, for the most part...I've always been really fond of dango, if you've heard of it? They're really, really delicious and go super well with tea. But anything's fine as long as it's sweet!

[ Yuri's definitely a curry fan himself. At least he knows who to come to if he ever wants some curry not cooked by himself! ]

Don't think I've ever tried anything called 'dango' before, but I'll take your word for it.
