The world is all one! Unity mind!
[Another week, another set of disasters. Hibiki’s head is still reeling from the lengthy ordeal that was Solf J. Kimblee. But it’s because of that exasperation that she’s able to turn her restlessness into something useful. It’s too late to set about making curry for everyone, so it’s time to make some easier dishes. A replication of Fern’s mac-and-cheese, somehow she’s whipped up some kind of donut to go with her animal-shaped rice balls. There’s coffee, tea...hopefully it’s enough? And if it’s not, Rin has provided some delicious Chinese food. And that always tastes better late at night, doesn’t it?
And for the adults (or the exasperated teenagers), Susan is carting down booze from the bar. Joy. Hibiki’s never written to the group en masse before, but she delivers a piece of paper to everyone while Rin and Susan finish up the preparations. Each paper has a drawing of an animal on it, too.]
Too much has happened today. Whether you want to get angry, cry, smile, laugh, or just be out of your room, you don’t have to do it alone. Rin and I have prepared food for everyone, and Susan’s brought the drinks downstairs so none of us have to go into the bar tonight.
Even if it’s just for a little while, won’t you think about joining us in the dining room tonight? Being together is just as important as working hard. And remember, nankurunaisa!
-Hibiki Ganaha
[Three more candles are lit today. Tabitha Smith. Sigrun Eide. Solf Kimblee. They’re all Cabanela’s doing. There aren't any decorations, but the food is spaced out so everyone should be able to grab something and munch if they need it. It’s not clear how many people will come, but a serious attempt was made this time.]

After that talk, she heads up to the bar rather quickly to grab some champagne glasses and a couple of bottles of champagne. It’s that much of a shitty day for her that she even wants to drink. She’s quick about this and is skittish around people if they attempt to approach her. Also attempting to hide her face for various reasons between now and when she finally gets to her room after a detour to the kitchen if only to grab some orange juice. Mimosas are perfect, right? Maybe she’ll grab some fruit too, but again, she’s going to be quick about this. As in the end she’s just going to hole herself up in room 6. Door’s locked and everything. It’s probably understandable she wants to be alone—no, less she wants to be alone and more she knows she’s not invited. She wouldn’t want to be around herself either right now. So… it’s okay.
She just needs some time alone, maybe, to process this. Though she’ll try to talk to people who wish to speak with her about her behavior at the trial. She got out a lot of what she was bottling in at the trial on Mikoto, so... there's that.]

If you're still up late at night after the clock chimes, you'll find him in the ballroom. He'll sit at the piano for awhile, his fingers on the keys like he's going to play. He doesn't though, he just sits there, lost in thought. You're welcome to join him; he seems a bit less worked up than he has all day.]

It makes her surprised to see him in the ballroom, though; she'd been out up and out to look for him, and given he's had quite a lot of sleep she figured he'd be up? But... not exactly out. Still, she's gonna head over— ]

Her room barely feels like her room, still. She'll just settle into the ballroom with her glass, sitting at the piano. Not playing, but for once drinking human blood out of a glass.

Do you want to have this conversation here, or somewhere more private? [She'd opt for private, if we're going to be talking about her personal life, but she's sort of curious about where Elda would prefer to make her request. Or, rather, her demand.]

She can be found in the dining room all night as a dutiful hostess. If you need something? Ask her. She's trying to be more chatty and positive, so anyone who looks at her for too long might be called over for a chat. And when she isn't making more tea or chatting, she's sitting with paper and pencils. Sometimes, she's drawing animals. Maybe make a request? Or maybe take away her drink?
And at other times...]
Hey, do you wanna play a game?
[The game she picks will be different for everyone, but.
Once the after party is winding down, Hibiki can be found in the Foyer well after the clock chimes. She's staring at the profiles, though she seems to be looking at one in particular. She's a little caught up in what she's doing, and she might not notice anyone approaching. How dangerous.]

Aligula, despite the fact this party was held by someone she's not that fond of, does in fact go to the dining room; she's not as cagey this time? In fact she's taken a seat right in front of the wall of secrets, and she's studying them as she eats those weird donut-like things. Hers is still insufferably embarrassing, but no one's decided to poke fun at her for it, and... that's probably a good idea, thank you for not doing that.
She does appreciate the whole chatter of people thing, but eventually, she's gonna leave and make a parfait to take with her to the foyer. She's sitting opposite of the office door, staring at it contemplatively as she eats; she may or may not go in tonight, though she's hardly staying here forever since she... has a few people she either needs to talk to or check up on. ]

At one point, to just do something, she grabs some coins and pops them in the vending machine. ...Some adorable cat pajamas, a wedding photo, weapons, some ridiculous odds and ends, bones, and this strange statue. So yes, earlier into the party you can find Rin doing her best to play co-hostess. Mainly you can find her in the kitchen still working on Chinese food—she's never cooked for so many people before, and it sort of shows. It's way better than your takeout, but getting it out in a timely fashion is tricky, uh. Yes.
As a result, her time in the dining room is shorter, but she'll make the rounds there as well, asking how the food is and whatnot. To anyone encountering her there or in the kitchen, her behavior will be pleasant and polite, even if you pissed her off.
Once everything is done, Rin isn't going to hang around for long, however. Briefly in the women's bathroom on the first floor, you can find her washing the blood off of Sigrun's dagger. After that, Rin's taking the key she looted off Tabby and throwing her own private afterparty in Room 16 and only the cool kids are invited.
...By which I mean the door is open, so if you happen to be down that way for some reason, you can come in if you want. Rin's alternatively going through Tabby's stuff or sitting at her desk. There's a paper she's brought with her; that cheat sheet with everyone's names and titles she promised Tabby last week. A gold ingot is resting on top of it like a paperweight. Rin's scooted it to one end though, to make better room for the glass and bottle of brandy she brought with her.]
Cheers.

[Rin and Hibiki definitely had plenty of time to talk all evening, but it was all unimportant stuff. Talking about food, talking about...animals...this is life now, it doesn't count as a week if Hibiki doesn't mention a pet Rin hasn't heard of before.]

That isn't to say she won't be drinking. But she seems contemplative as she looks at the candles, sipping from a wine glass. There's still no picture of Walter. If it were up to her, she'd not do Kimblee either...but a weird amount of people still seemed to care about him, at the end?
That's just not in her nature.
After a while, she'll stand and say quietly, to the room at large.]
I'm going to the ballroom, if anybody wants any music. [And so she will! She'll play on her own, of course, but given what she said she's probably open to requests.]

Fuck that.
He does actually stop by the dining hall for a little bit at least, but he quickly discovers that he's still not in the mood for these post-trial get-togethers. So despite the drinks present at the afterparty, he heads out and wanders around for a bit. The dojo serves as a decent distraction (he is very much in the mood to hit things) before he ends up at the bar for pretty much the rest of the night. He sits off to the side with a drink rather than at the counter itself. At one point he can be seen with a rather unique pocketwatch out, flicking it open and glancing at it with a contemplative expression as he reflects on today.]
