[Another week, another set of disasters. Hibiki’s head is still reeling from the lengthy ordeal that was Solf J. Kimblee. But it’s because of that exasperation that she’s able to turn her restlessness into something useful. It’s too late to set about making curry for everyone, so it’s time to make some easier dishes. A replication of Fern’s mac-and-cheese, somehow she’s whipped up some kind of donut to go with her animal-shaped rice balls. There’s coffee, tea...hopefully it’s enough? And if it’s not, Rin has provided some delicious Chinese food. And that always tastes better late at night, doesn’t it?

And for the adults (or the exasperated teenagers), Susan is carting down booze from the bar. Joy. Hibiki’s never written to the group en masse before, but she delivers a piece of paper to everyone while Rin and Susan finish up the preparations. Each paper has a drawing of an animal on it, too.]

Too much has happened today. Whether you want to get angry, cry, smile, laugh, or just be out of your room, you don’t have to do it alone. Rin and I have prepared food for everyone, and Susan’s brought the drinks downstairs so none of us have to go into the bar tonight.

Even if it’s just for a little while, won’t you think about joining us in the dining room tonight? Being together is just as important as working hard. And remember, nankurunaisa!

[Three more candles are lit today. Tabitha Smith. Sigrun Eide. Solf Kimblee. They’re all Cabanela’s doing. There aren't any decorations, but the food is spaced out so everyone should be able to grab something and munch if they need it. It’s not clear how many people will come, but a serious attempt was made this time.]

[ It's been just that type of week, apparently. But he's always glad to see good company (hence him stopping by, though it's not the only reason.)]

Nothing in particular, I guess. I figured it'd be a good idea if I'd drop by after everything had happened to say hi.

Couldn't get me out of your thoughts, hmm? Well, as you can see, I am doing fine. Well...as 'fine' as anyone could be doing on a day like this. Some of the others are probably doing worse.

[Speaking of which, he makes a mental note to go check on Estelle later. She took things particularly hard today.]

[ He'll smile in good humor anyway. ]

Yeah, that's true. Today's been pretty rough on people - some more than others. But, I bet we can get ourselves through it like we always do.

[ Yuri's decidedly going to check up on a few people - Estelle's, of course, one of them. ]

Mmm. He fooled us all, didn't he? I thought he was a decent, if frightening, person until today.

[Now he realizes that the man was the same as all the others who gave Luca grief back home. And that is infuriating to him.]

I thought he was a terrible and smart guy. He did a good job in his act - it was kind of hard to tell for awhile whether or not he killed someone.

[ ... He asked Kimblee about his secret, so like. He knew the guy had some issues/had to be insane. ]

[Luca didn't ask, mostly because he has been trying to overlook all of the secrets and give people privacy (except for a select few he was genuinely worried about), so he doesn't have the context Yuri has.]

I was being truthful at the trial when I said I don't understand men like that, and I have no desire to understand them. I see enough insanity at the university, I do not need to see it here as well.

Guy's like him are a dime a dozen. It'd just have been a waste of time if you tried to get into his head.

[ So, really, he understands that. ]

So when you say you've seen enough insanity at the university, I'm hoping it wasn't as nearly close to what we've seen here.

Well there was no outright murder, but the same level of 'I am above you, look at me with my special brain' was present. It seems like education does not help much if you have an over-inflated ego.

Hahaha, nope. Once someone's got a big head like that, all you can hope to do is wait for it to come crashing down all over 'em from above.

[ Short of, you know, making it happening yourself. ]

It really did come crashing down, didn't it? And all by his own hand too. If he had kept things up, he would have gotten out of here.

Sure did. I don't know if for sure he'd have been successful despite his act, because I think once his alibi was blown wide open, it was kind of curtains for him.

[ Though, speaking of which... ]

Oh yeah, what'd you think about what Jericho said at the end of the trial? Pretty weird, huh?

About there being three more? That did sound strange. Obviously there are three more people that share something in common with him. The question is, what is it that he was talking about?

The first thing that comes to mind is some kind of quality about their personalities. But I guess it's really hard to tell what it is for now, since there's a long list of possibilities.

[ He supposes he can add that to list of questions to consider asking. ]

Especially since Kimblee's personality seems to be 'good at hiding how crazy he is'. There could be three more people like that among us, but it would be hard to tell.

[ He'll just plop himself down. ]

Pretty much. Well, I'm sure we'll figure it out.
