The world is all one! Unity mind!
[Another week, another set of disasters. Hibiki’s head is still reeling from the lengthy ordeal that was Solf J. Kimblee. But it’s because of that exasperation that she’s able to turn her restlessness into something useful. It’s too late to set about making curry for everyone, so it’s time to make some easier dishes. A replication of Fern’s mac-and-cheese, somehow she’s whipped up some kind of donut to go with her animal-shaped rice balls. There’s coffee, tea...hopefully it’s enough? And if it’s not, Rin has provided some delicious Chinese food. And that always tastes better late at night, doesn’t it?
And for the adults (or the exasperated teenagers), Susan is carting down booze from the bar. Joy. Hibiki’s never written to the group en masse before, but she delivers a piece of paper to everyone while Rin and Susan finish up the preparations. Each paper has a drawing of an animal on it, too.]
Too much has happened today. Whether you want to get angry, cry, smile, laugh, or just be out of your room, you don’t have to do it alone. Rin and I have prepared food for everyone, and Susan’s brought the drinks downstairs so none of us have to go into the bar tonight.
Even if it’s just for a little while, won’t you think about joining us in the dining room tonight? Being together is just as important as working hard. And remember, nankurunaisa!

[Three more candles are lit today. Tabitha Smith. Sigrun Eide. Solf Kimblee. They’re all Cabanela’s doing. There aren't any decorations, but the food is spaced out so everyone should be able to grab something and munch if they need it. It’s not clear how many people will come, but a serious attempt was made this time.]

[...and admittedly, the science aspect of it was something she hadn't learned, but she'll show off some of the designs. The flowery ones that she managed to make.]
The design I saw once had a flow to it, which I assumed was a commonplace for the designs--the lines and inner flow of them, he said, are the means by which the energy is conducted. So I tried to pick flowers that had a design that would compliment that, while still looking nice. That's something I was told too; that having such a personal understanding would be the easiest way to ensure nobody could copy me easily.
[She'll show off the chrysanthemum circle, gesturing to the rather complicated network of lines.]
Like, take this for example. It's a bit complicated, but I'm thinking if this works? The energy will flow through all of these lines here, and focus into the center--and that's where I can begin working. There's...definitely more to it, but I think that's the basic theory. Of course, I'd need the materials to do so, as well--I was thinking about using the conference room table to try to make vines from them...

The design of the magic circles have a similar purpose to a personal aria, then. That's an interesting difference. [Rin taps her chin.] I don't think that will work here, but the plus side to that is if you want to make vines, you'll have much better materials to work from when we get out of here over the conference room table.

[Still, she'll nod her head.]
I'm going to be as careful as I possibly can with this, though. I assure you of that much. There's a lot of things I don't really know, either, so it'll probably be some time before I'm able to learn.

[There's a note of somberness in her tone, there.]
I think I'll try tomorrow, and...ask if Larimore-san has the key.

[Not quite a stutter, that sounded like a harder "t" sound she was making, for a moment.]
Whenever you're up for it, of course. [This is a little blander.] It doesn't even have to be tomorrow, if you need more time than that.

Sayaka's look goes a bit softer.]
No...no, I think it'll be fine. I shouldn't dwell on it forever. [...] Are you okay, Tohsaka-san?

[She says that easily, but she's looking between Sayaka's magic circles again instead of the girl herself.]
I didn't know Tabby or Sigrun particularly well, but I liked talking to them. Everything that came out Tabby's mouth was interesting and Sigrun... Sigrun was one of the more impressive people here. It would have been better if they hadn't died.

...You miss them, don't you?

[But it's not dismissive, the way she says this. The look on her face is somewhat puzzled, like someone trying to put a name to an object they don't know.]
...Can you miss the opportunity of getting to know someone? Of never knowing them, and knowing you never will? [Yeah.] I think it's like that.
no subject
You definitely can. It's...natural to do that, I think. All of them, they were interesting people with their own stories to tell. And to never know them, it's...kind of horrid.

[This is just a stream of her inner thoughts now, so it's strange how casually she says that, like it should be a matter of course. Rin folds her arms around her middle.]
But to have their lives interrupted like that, and never return to them... And dying in a place like this on top of that? [She tuts.] We're not quite allies, but we're not quite enemies either. It aggravates me.
[Dislikes: an unexpected accident.]

[Like, she understands what Rin means. She really does. But no one in their rightest of minds would do this?
...The second part gets a bit more of a nod, and a gentler tone.]
...But I get what you mean. It's a senseless waste of lives that...were fulfilling and wonderful. All of them were.

[He literally said he thrived in environments like this, so she could absolutely see him signing up under the correct circumstances.]
But yes. That more or less sums up my feelings.
