The world is all one! Unity mind!
[Another week, another set of disasters. Hibiki’s head is still reeling from the lengthy ordeal that was Solf J. Kimblee. But it’s because of that exasperation that she’s able to turn her restlessness into something useful. It’s too late to set about making curry for everyone, so it’s time to make some easier dishes. A replication of Fern’s mac-and-cheese, somehow she’s whipped up some kind of donut to go with her animal-shaped rice balls. There’s coffee, tea...hopefully it’s enough? And if it’s not, Rin has provided some delicious Chinese food. And that always tastes better late at night, doesn’t it?
And for the adults (or the exasperated teenagers), Susan is carting down booze from the bar. Joy. Hibiki’s never written to the group en masse before, but she delivers a piece of paper to everyone while Rin and Susan finish up the preparations. Each paper has a drawing of an animal on it, too.]
Too much has happened today. Whether you want to get angry, cry, smile, laugh, or just be out of your room, you don’t have to do it alone. Rin and I have prepared food for everyone, and Susan’s brought the drinks downstairs so none of us have to go into the bar tonight.
Even if it’s just for a little while, won’t you think about joining us in the dining room tonight? Being together is just as important as working hard. And remember, nankurunaisa!

[Three more candles are lit today. Tabitha Smith. Sigrun Eide. Solf Kimblee. They’re all Cabanela’s doing. There aren't any decorations, but the food is spaced out so everyone should be able to grab something and munch if they need it. It’s not clear how many people will come, but a serious attempt was made this time.]

She reaches a hand out to gently brush it on Susan's shoulder. ]
Well, I think you've pulled it together quite well.

......thanks.
[This went a lot of places she didn't expect.
Well, one good turn deserves another. Her hair's not all that long, but she reaches up to push it back nonetheless, exposing her neck.]
Well. Do you want to have a go?

Are you prepared?
[ Why is she hesitating now. God, it's so weird when you know them. ]
... I hope it makes you feel better, really.

...yeah. Okay.

... Okay you're here, you can smell the alcohol and you have permission. Hesitation isn't right at this point. And so Elda inhales a little, and she- does the most natural movement in the world for her. She leans forward, and while she could just bite the neck, reflex more than anything (she needs to make sure that Susan doesn't move, doesn't make the fangs shift around, make it worse) she languidly wraps her arms around the woman's shoulders, draping her small body against the woman. Her breath might seem a little hot against her neck for a moment...
But that's the prelude.
Next, the vampire's fangs sink through her flesh in one quick movement. The whole process is painful, as promised. After all, she's getting two veins pierced. But Elda happily, greedily sucks up the blood that flows free from the bite, using her not inconsiderable strength to hold her in place as she welcomes the warm fluid in.
God. It's... it's still bland, but it feels like mana as compared to that shoddy prepackaged stuff. It makes her feel like she's alive again, in a way she really, desperately needed after this last trial. ]

Susan digs her fingers into the fabric of the blankets and hisses quietly in pain at the bite, refusing to let herself cry out. For Elda's sake, or for her own pride's? Whichever. Both. It's definitely no worse than dying. She'll live.
Like blood into a needle, the pain isn't as bad past the initial puncture. It doesn't hurt flowing out. Susan breathes in and out, carefully, deliberately. This is fine. You're fine. It's not any different than donating blood at a clinic, when you get right down to it.]

The minute she does, the punctures seal up. They'll remain there as a mark for a while, but they heal all but immediately.
She licks her lips, trying to decide if the alcohol has done anything, but she exhales, looking down at her hand. ]

[She raises a hand reflexively to her neck as Elda pulls away, carefully running her fingers over smooth skin. There's no blood on them when they come away.]
That's...look at that. [It's sort of incredible, really, but at the same time not terribly useful for anything else? Susan feels a little light-headed, and knows that drinking and losing blood isn't a fantastic combination. But nothing about this place is great. Who cares.] Do you feel anything?
no subject
[ She... giggles. She giggles, because she's feeling a slight euphoria. She's not sure quite if it's a buzz, but she curls back on herself, feeling... oddly happy? ]

It worked!

[ She laughs some more, and then...
Makes to hug Susan again? Not to bite her though, just... to hug her. As thanks? Because she's so pissed from that trial? Who knows, she sure doesn't. But either way, she'll just be enjoying this buzzed feeling.
... Susan was so cute, in that moment. ]
