One day we'll reach to emotions: unexplored, unprecedented
[ Sometime shortly after the trial small notes will be folded underneath the doors of everyone still alive, and also posted to the staircase leading up to the upper floors. Not many of you have probably seen Elda's penmanship yet unless you checked that Penmanship check a while back, but it's impossibly impeccable fancy cursive script, to match with her old timey appearance. ... She also writes a lot more proper than she talks. ]
[ she's being somewhat facetious about half the group, but the fact does remain that she got more offers than she expected, when she set out to do this. She had expected that Sayaka would help, and indeed both her and Alex provide cookies and curry for the tables. Elda herself sets up the tables, dotting one longer central one made of smaller ones in the ballroom for things to sit on. The bulk of the food's provided by Tarrlok of all people, Chinese food by any other name. Susan, bless her, provides alcohol. Hibki, once she was clean, decided to run backup on preparing the food.
And then perhaps fittingly, Aligula provided the decorations. Steamers line the room, and little cut outs hang around. At Elda's instruction, it's a mix of cats, snakes, and bats. The majority of them have little faces on them. And finally, as and afterthought more than anything else, Elda makes some tea.
... Said tea is black tea and is impossibly dark and bitter because she can't taste it, but maybe that's what you want on a night like this. Who knows. ]
To My Fellows,
The half of you who didn't assist me in this are cordially invited to a celebration of our continued living, and to the memories of those who aren't. We are a mismatched group,
but it has become increasingly clear that we are together in this. Do not allow yourself to be alone.
We will be congregating in the ballroom for the rest of the night.

Attentive, I totally don't do that, I toooold you! [ Ahahaha... haha... ] Besides, who would I mourn? Tenacious deserved what he got, and Informative was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and Ambiiiiiiiiiiiitious was a total dumb-dumb who went looking for trouble, so of course he found it! Like, it's just like Observant said! He'd get overwhelmed and die and that's totally what happened!
[ ...she may have some problems with archer dying. ]
And thennn Reserved wasn't the worst part of that whole thing, I guess. He was hot though. [ ...okay, she's good. Perfectly herself, she'll turn back to Sayaka. She's... more irritated now, though it's not directed at her company; it's very obviously at the whole situation here. ] But, like, anyway... I don't mourn people. People get what they deserve, whether it's being dumb enough to get killed or being dumb enough to get caught. That's how it is.

Okay, so you don't mourn. I can understand that much, but you're being a bit of a dumb-dumb yourself if you don't think you're effected by Archer-san's death at the very least. Do you really think bottling this all up is going to be good for you, in the long run?
He was the exact same way when Kimblee-san died, [Mostly on the 'not mourning, can't be weak' front.] and...look at what happened to him. It's not good for anyone, Aligula-san.

Sayaka's lucky, for a lot of reasons. Chief ones being "they're alone" and "Aligula likes her." ]
...I don't do serious, boring stuff like throw pity-parties, Attentive. [ That's quiet, and Aligula kicks her feet lightly. ] And I don't care about people, because, like, what's that ever done for anyone, right? It's important to look out for yourself, and maybe a few of your people so that you've got people to pull at for favors. That's sort of how the city works. [ ... ] That's sort of how the Beyond works.
[ Beyondians are a strange group, she knows, compared to a lot of the people here. There's a hint to her tone that she's not quite done though, even if she's gone silent, and her voice bops back up to something resembling its usual volume when she continues. ]

I really thought Chitoge and Evolutionary were really fun people, and I was totally looking forward to doing all kinds of junk with them, but... all that happened. [ Chitoge, not Dexterous. She knows, she knows, but she asked the girl for her name, she might as well use it if she's gonna be giving into Sayaka's pleading. ] Boundless was great too, and she was supposed to be hosting the Christmas party with me! She said she'd help me carry food and stuff up, and I bet she would've made something really tasty, too...

Observant and Ambitious were two of the first humans here that, like, didn't get on my case for acting the way I do about, you know, this whole dumb murder situation thing. I mean, Ambitious was super rude to me in the beginning, but he wasn't that bad? And Observant was really frustrating at the end, but I liked talking to him a whole bunch about stuff. They were both really awful people, you know. [ It was great. ] Tenacious was totally awful too, buuuut I've had a little talk about him recently and decided he's definitely gonna stay the bottom rung.
[ That's not cryptic at all, thanks Aligula—? ]
So you know, I'm really mad about like, three of them and then totally frustrated about all of them for being total dumb-dumbs. That's all. [ She'll tilt her face over, pouting. ] Happy, you psychoanalyzing harpy?

...She'd say that if she had a lot less decorum, but she's gonna refrain and keep her hand on Aligula's shoulder as she talks. It's a lot, certainly, but she pleaded for this much in the hopes that Aligula would get it off her chest and her mind, just...lift that weight up and throw it out, for once.]
That's understandable, you know? That those people had such an effect on you, that their loss would make you feel like...they got stolen from you, or stole themselves away. [It's selfish, sure, but when were feelings ever not?] They were people who were fun, and people who understood you. It's not a bad thing to be effected by that, but holding it all in isn't healthy for you. As someone who's done that professionally, at this point? I can tell you with certainty that it'll explode one day.
[...Sayaka smiles a bit, though. Even with the harpy comment.]
