Well, there had been that certain blue-skinned assassin whose movements Cabanela had been keeping an eye on.

An in a ridiculous accent, let's be real it's probably a 1920s mobster voice, he says:]

...Nearsighted, though? That's really one unfortunate nickname. It could at least be catchy...

I wish I knew how he got such a nickname, all I know is that he wears a pair of thick glasses.

It makes him easy to track down, at least.

[The guy is one step away from calling himself "four-eyes", and still manages to be an assassin.]

That seems like a pretty bad trait in an assassin, though, you'd think. Or any sort of career criminal, really...

I reeeally don't know how competent he actually is, I wasn't given much information on that.

Somehow, I doubt he's much of a threat, though. Just one of those "we're hiring anyone" gigs, I imagine.

That seems like a poor way to run things, but I guess if you're on a budget, you'll take any assassin you can get.

It wouldn't surprise me if he was the nephew of the leader of that country at all.

It seems like a dangerous line of work to let your nephew get into, but some kids want all the glory.

And then it goes poorly because they have bad eyesight in a job that probably requires it to be good.

He was supposed to show up near where I last remember being, so...

Ah. Well, I guess it's not too much of a shame if he encountered some sort of unfortunate accident, then, is it.

Though, his country is a little... strange, anyway.

Ah... weird customs and traditions, then? Maybe if they have a convoluted enough system of inheritance it isn't really a problem after all.

There's that, yes, but they also have strange technology-- it's hard to explain; there are rumors of the country making robots indistinguishable from humans.

[Also they have blue skin, but that's a little racist to be pointing out, probably.]

I can get the appeal of that, admittedly, but is there really a benefit to that?

To be fair, if I could make a robot indistinguishable from a human, I'd certainly want to show it off.

Their technology is so "off", I wouldn't be surprised if it was just done for the hell of it, to be honest.

Well, that's as good a reason as any, if you ask me. Nothing wrong with a little old-fashioned grandstanding, I'd say.
