Week 9.

WEEK 9 With another death to the timer and another double murder - accidental though that last part may have been - your numbers have been cut even further. Hibiki Ganaha, Sayaka Maizono, Alex, and Kyrie Ushiromiya are all dead, bringing those left alive from twelve down to eight. It's almost hard to believe this started with thirty-five people. There are so few of you now. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... It seems that the pattern from last week is holding; there is no new floor to occupy yourselves with. It doesn't seem much else has changed, either - leading to questions that are uncomfortable but must be confronted. Namely, where do you go from here? Is there anything you can do? [Alright, cool then. She'll just check on how that wound is healing for her own piece of mind with a satisfied hum, then move on to the bandages he was working with.]

[She probably rewraps what he already started just to make sure it's secure, then continues on with the process.]

Regardless, he's still correct... well, that results are what matter now. I thought my speech saved things in the moment.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who found that weird. I've never heard of marrying for love at such a young age.

Oh, I've heard of plenty of fools considering it, Shakespeare even wrote a play about it. But I should think any kingdom worth their salt wouldn't allow it.

[ She laughs a little, spinning a hand in the air. ]

But then, she's a hero now, after a sort. And all that's left of the line.

Yeah, that's the part that frustrates me. We're told to investigate, but to what end I'm still not sure.

Or one of those fans who actually hates the thing he's talking about. The way all these files read, it seems like he was doing this first, and they stole his setup.

And heroes get to marry the ones they love, hmm?

[That sounds like something from those romance novels Luca has been turning his nose up towards.

Also, he totally missed his shot there, so he will back up from the table so Elda can go.]

I'm from 2005. It came up at the trial when Chie died, that Sayaka and Alex were from further ahead, given all that talk about cameras inside phones.

{Rin still sounds disturbed about it, but Alex said she'd understand in a few years. Why would she want to understand.]

[Which implies some kind of reaction is going on in there, because that's not disturbing or anything, nor is the purple smoke.]

... Rideaux showed me his. It's strange to think of that thing as a phone. There's no cord...

[ She sighs, sighing and shaking her head. ]

Why not? They can hold their might over people.

[ She says this with some amusement as she makes to line up her shot carefully here... ]

...It's not on, right? He probably can't make calls or anything.

Rin, I'm a scientist. I'm more interested in how you managed to make it do that than I am worried about it.

[He is a little worried, but if Rin is the one doing this and she isn't worried, then it's probably okay? Maybe?]

[matchbreaker]

No, he could turn it on to take photographs and such? It must run on batteries?

[ LIKE SHE KNOWS MAYBE ITS MAGIC ]

But if they are using their might to get what they want, are they truly acting heroic?

Oh please, all of those classic heroes do their deeds and then get their rewards. Might pay for it later, but Gilgamesh and Dracula and Achilles still got fame and fortune.

[ Bam, shot! She manages to sink two there and not lose out. Nailed it. ]

I can't really explain the whole thing to you; it's a family secret. But I can give you a brief overview while I'm at this, if you'd like?

[Oooh, good shot. Luca even gives her a little bit of quiet applause there.]

Didn't the story of Achilles end in tragedy?

[And he's not even going to get into the Dracula thing, because Dracula was never a hero in the version he read.]

[ And... lining up her new shot here. She seems to be slow and deliberate about this, contrary to what you might expect from her personality.

What good is a phone if you can't call things? Honestly! I don't what Sayaka and Alex were talking about, it's completely useless.

[Huff. But she has the thing she was searching out of her pockets now; it's a bundle of letters, actually. She flips through them until she finds the one with Elda's name on it.]

Speaking of Alex, she left this for you.
