Week 9.
With another death to the timer and another double murder - accidental though that last part may have been - your numbers have been cut even further. Hibiki Ganaha, Sayaka Maizono, Alex, and Kyrie Ushiromiya are all dead, bringing those left alive from twelve down to eight. It's almost hard to believe this started with thirty-five people. There are so few of you now. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... It seems that the pattern from last week is holding; there is no new floor to occupy yourselves with. It doesn't seem much else has changed, either - leading to questions that are uncomfortable but must be confronted. Namely, where do you go from here? Is there anything you can do? |

Tarrlok does not leave his room on Sunday.]

Yuri doesn't intimately know Tarrlok's routine like uh...he knows of some people's. However, with a presence like Tarrlok's (he's a big guy), and the fact that he's absent throughout the entirety of the day to the point where he doesn't see the guy anywhere, it dawns on him that the guy might have some shit going on.
He'll slip on by sometime towards the evening and give the door a test knock. If there's no answer, he figures he might just write up something and slip it under. ]

It's probably getting close to evening when Rin stops by; she stopped by Alex's room next door and found the letters she left for everyone. Originally she was just intending to slip Tarrlok's under his door, but as she crouched down to do a thought occurred to her: has she seen him at all today?
Looking at the letter in her hands, Rin frowns and straightens up, knocking on the door a moment later.]

Well, he thinks of how last Sunday was for him, and he sure as hell did not want to be seen that day. And after his last talk with Tarrlok, he can't help but consider if this is a similar situation.
...
A note finds its way under Tarrlok's door at some point.]
If it's as bad as I think it is, at least try to talk to someone about it. I know, I know. I sound like a hypocrite. It was the last thing I wanted to do too. It is a monumental effort, but it does help. I think I would still be lying in bed if I did not accept the offer of someone to let them lend an ear.
So. Something to consider.

For the third week in a row, there are tears in her eyes when she wakes up, but this time it's a different emotion that's prompted them. It's incredibly bittersweet, there are so many things she still wishes were different, but... For the first time in weeks, she can honestly say that she feels happy, even full of hope, despite everything that's happened.
All day, after emerging from her room, her demeanor seems cheerful, a calm and confident air around her. While making breakfast in the kitchen in the morning, she can even be heard humming under her breath, a smile on her face. After that, she heads to the art studio, and spends most of the day inside, sketching a variety of subjects. Most of them are landscapes, but there are portraits as well (including drawings of the people who passed away recently). When she's done, she takes those to the dining hall, setting them near the candles.
Towards the evening, she retires to her room and spends the evening there.]

"investigation"
Elda has no idea how to feel about this other than sad about the finality of it. And in the context of both what she promised Kyrie and the outcome of various incentives before now and their fallout, the woman can't help but just feel even more remorseful. She hangs her head and finishes brushing her hair to set out for the day.
She puts on the Silph Scope and dutifully heads to library #1 around three to see if there's any messages there, like she had asked them to do. Honestly, she doesn't really expect anything, so then just sort of lingers there with the goggles on for a while before heading to her room and then to the third floor women's bathroom where she's going to be using her lighter to burn short little letters she's writing and then immolating in the sink so that she can then put out any greater fires immediately. She's still curious about that fireball, even if she doubts this'll do anything.
But once she's had her fill of writing and burning into the void, Elda's going to the Dining Room with a sketchbook in hand, and she's... Drawing a general layout of the building that they're in now? It's by hand and memory, so it's obviously not exact, but she's sure doing that. Maybe someone else did it before now, but. Here she is.
... She made a promise, she has to at least try to be more useful than she actually feels now, after that memory. Notably she's doing all this while wearing on of Aligula's lolita dresses still and hugging a dirty, ripped teddy bear close to her chest or near her side. So. Yeah. ]

Investigation x2... Sorta...
"I have my answer. Don't you worry, Tohsaka. I'll try my best from now on, too."
Within the golden sunrise, the smile Archer had was like that of the boy's. The promise she made that let him smile like that; she's having a hard time keeping it than she expected. To answer the trust Archer put in her, and to see Shirou again; to get the seven people still alive with her through this, she'll try her hardest too.
To start, she'll be going around today wearing the second pair of silph scopes she borrowed from Elda, and looking a bit silly for it. While she's probably seeing a few of their friends on the other side, she's not actively looking for them, however! Instead, Rin is heading up to the third floor to look around both of the secret doors in the game room as well as that weird panel Susan found in the billiards hall with the googles. Maybe it'll be a bust, maybe the goggles will reveal something strange about them, who knows. Depending on how successful or unsuccessful it is, she might check out other rooms.
She's also got that stupid, indestructible box with her? MAYBE IF IT'S CLOSE TO THE OTHER DUMB INDESTRUCTIBLE THINGS, THERE'LL BE A REACTION.
After all of this is done, still with the goggles, she's going to head back to the dormitories and stop by Alex's room. She took her key, after all. This is technically a second investigation that might branch away from here, but doesn't need to go particularly in-depth. Rin's checking to see if Alex's ninety-seven hitchhikers disappeared with her or not, so if I could just get a yay or a nay there that'd be swell.
While she's in Alex's room, she ends up finding something else. Letters. There's one for everyone, and Rin will dutifully deliver each of these, however you'd like to assume. Either in passing in the halls or slipped discretely under your door. Rin doesn't let herself read her own yet.
...You know, there are even letters for the dead, so Rin finds herself delivering those too. Kyrie and Sayaka each get an envelope slipped under their doors, even though there's no longer anyone inside. And Hibiki's... Rin's surprised to find Hibiki's room is open when she gets to it. She goes inside.
...She's in there a long time.
When Rin finally exits, roaming in the hallways back to her room, the expression on her face is shellshocked. There's a thick stack of papers in her hands and her mouth is slightly twisted, like she's either about to laugh or about to cry. It would probably be good if she focused on what she was doing, because she bumps her elbow on a wall when rounding a corner, and the papers end up scattered across the ground everywhere, and photos too that look like Chie's. Rin curses under her breath and drops down to her knees to gather them back up. Little help?]

MONDAY
investigation
So, he gets up, and heads into the kitchen to make something to eat - it's closer to noon but it's not exactly the afternoon this time. So good on him, kind of? When someone comes on in, he gives them a wave. ]
Hey. You want something to eat?
[ After that, he heads on into the music room to investigate. He's going to be looking at the instruments first (the acoustics). It's one of the few rooms, if, according to his memory, no one has taken a look into. So, might as well, right?
Following that, he can be found in the billiards room, tossing a few darts at the wall, imagining a certain someone's face there instead.
Later, he can be seen briefly wandering the halls, and then ending up firmly back within room 18 predictably for the rest of the night. ]

TUESDAY
ANNOUNCEMENT.
Hey, guys. As always, foyer in ten; I've got something to discuss with you. Don't worry, I promise you're going to like it this time! Probably. I guess.
[Well, that sounds promising.
Either way, though, once the ten minutes have passed he'll start again; it isn't like it matters if you show up, given that he can be heard throughout the building, but it's generally a good thing to at least put in an appearance, you know?]
So like I said last weekend, you've taken out four out of four – or, well, I guess the dead people have, and two of them took themselves out, but you know what, who's counting. The point is that they're dead, that's pretty universally a good thing, and since you guys have been playing along for the past two months, I'm gonna give you something for it.
First of all, your timer's been turned off. Don't get me wrong, the exercise is still on – we're not calling that off anytime soon – and if you guys stall for the next two months or something we're going to turn it back on again. But for now, no pressure for a while, take things at your own pace.
Second...well, that depends on how well you guys do this week, I guess. You'll get more details on that once we see how you're going.
Either way, hopefully you guys are having an all right week. Just keep on doing what you've been doing – there are only eight of you guys, it's not like finishing this is going to be hard if you're determined enough.

MEETING.
Come on down into the conference room. Same time as always.
[ Yuri's the first person in the conference room when people arrive; he's probably sitting in a chair with his feet up on the table. It might be a bit of a strange sight, but he's kind of 'standing in' for the person who usually would.
He's provided some food, because he has decided to whip up something for people to eat if they are so inclined. ]
So, lucky for us, Jericho's decided to be "kind" enough to give us a break. Since there's no motive or a timer, I don't think it needs saying that people shouldn't really be tempted to do any crap this week or at least for awhile. That said, if someone's feeling particularly antsy for whatever reason, just speak up. We're all in this together now, right?
Anyway, first order of business now is to talk about anything anyone's discovered or just talk about...whatever.

While it's nice to not have to worry about the timer looming over them or a corpse to investigate, with so few of them left it feels kind of stiflingly quiet. So Rideaux does set out to do some wandering for a good part of the day. He's kind of all over the place, poking around in places just to see if he can unearth anything new. In the evening, he's in the dining hall with some kind of stir fry that he made. If you ask nicely, he might just have some leftovers to share.
After nighttime sounds Rideaux makes his way to the new room with a glass of wine and some candles, and hangs out in there for a little while. He figured this would be a popular room during the day, and so his hopes are to have some time to himself to observe the view outside (of course, others may have similar ideas though). Even if his thoughts on it are conflicted, he can't deny that it's better to have some sort of proof of the outside world than nothing at all.]

Doesn't stop her from taking all the books out one by one, flipping through them to see if they can be read, and when she finds they can't, sighing and then settling in to the window.
... That's boring, eventually, though. So she's just going to play pool at the pool table. Anyone want to join her? She's be here all day other than to go down to check for ghost messages at 3PM in the lower library like she promised to do every day. She might talk to Hilda too...? Who knows, her mood sucks. It's not awful, but ... thoughtful. And the fact her thoughts can't reach an endpoint is frustrating.

Days pass, and Luca still doesn't have an answer. And the 'if they even get out' is weighing even more heavily on his mind now too.
When Friday passes with no death and no trial, Luca starts to come out again. But Saturday is probably the day he is really seen, as he spends a good part of that day in the new room, watching for changes. A rising sun, changing lights in the city, anything. Eventually he grows bored with watching, though, and makes his way down to the lower floors to take care of other business.
At some point he will be in the infirmary to change the bandages on his arm, and the kitchen to try and make himself some food. But besides that, a good part of the evening is spent in the art room, where he is practicing writing and sketching with his left hand. It's nowhere near as neat and nice as his right-handed work is, but he's trying. And it's actually readable!]
