Week 9.

WEEK 9 With another death to the timer and another double murder - accidental though that last part may have been - your numbers have been cut even further. Hibiki Ganaha, Sayaka Maizono, Alex, and Kyrie Ushiromiya are all dead, bringing those left alive from twelve down to eight. It's almost hard to believe this started with thirty-five people. There are so few of you now. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... It seems that the pattern from last week is holding; there is no new floor to occupy yourselves with. It doesn't seem much else has changed, either - leading to questions that are uncomfortable but must be confronted. Namely, where do you go from here? Is there anything you can do? [Well. They've managed so far this week. Somehow. It's something of a miracle.

He smiles at Yuri when they pass by each other.]

How are you holding up?

[hesperos]

[ Let's see how long that miracle lasts. ]

I'm doing good enough. Keeping myself busy helps, if you know what I mean.

[ ... even if it just looks like he's wandering around, but it's actually just on his way to his room, so, you know. ]

What about you? Things going alright on your end?

[perpend]

[Cabanela nods.]

I'm doing well enough, considering.

[hesperos]

That's good.

[ And well, since they're here... ]

So, a gald for your thoughts? Anything pressing on your mind lately?

[perpend]

Not at the moment, just... determination, you could say, I suppose.

[hesperos]

Determination to overcome our situation I'm guessing?

[perpend]

That's exactly it. We can't allow Jericho to defeat us, not now. Not when we have so few of our original number.

[hesperos]

It's good to have that, you know.

[ He'll be smirking a bit. Their situation's tough, but... ]

Sure Jericho's got a lot going for him, but I'm also sure we'll find a way to turn the tables against him and use something we've learned or received here to help with that.

[perpend]

I agree-- we don't have the advantage, but we have enough time on our hands.

We'll stop him, we must. Too many people have died because of his organization of his, a number that goes far beyond just the people who have died in our group.

[hesperos]

...That's the spirit. I'm sure we're not going to take anymore of his crap lying down.

[ And you know what-- ]

Why don't you give one here?

[ He'll raise his hand up. Give him a high-five, Cabanela! ]

[perpend]

[He'll give you that high-five!]

We'll stop him. No one else will suffer at his hands.

[hesperos]

[ Ayyyy. ]

That's right. And before we know it, everyone will be making their way back home.

[ ... ]

Speaking of which, when you get back, what'd you plan to do?

[perpend]

[He visibly hesitates at the question.]

You know, I haven't thought much about that. I suppose I've been too busy with our current situation.

[hesperos]

[ He notices. Though he doesn't think it too strange at first. ]

That's fair. I guess I was just curious if you had thought about stuff that far.

[perpend]

I haven't, but I suppose that's not too much of a shock-- I'll think of something, I'm sure.

[But that's probably kind of an off statement to make.]

[hesperos]

Yeah?

[ He is squinting a bit now. ]

Is everything alright with you back home?

[ Okay sudden and blunt question but hey, that's how it goes when he wants to get straight to the issue. ]

[perpend]

Everything is fine, at least I assume so, it's the... situation that's a little more complicated.
