Week 9.
With another death to the timer and another double murder - accidental though that last part may have been - your numbers have been cut even further. Hibiki Ganaha, Sayaka Maizono, Alex, and Kyrie Ushiromiya are all dead, bringing those left alive from twelve down to eight. It's almost hard to believe this started with thirty-five people. There are so few of you now. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... It seems that the pattern from last week is holding; there is no new floor to occupy yourselves with. It doesn't seem much else has changed, either - leading to questions that are uncomfortable but must be confronted. Namely, where do you go from here? Is there anything you can do? |

Damn, there really are a lot of dead people here -- but no, seriously, that's a raw deal there. There's a moment of silence from him as he frowns, crossing his arms. ]
Sorry to hear that. [ ... ] You mind telling me about the bastard who's responsible for that?
[ If Tarrlok is fine with that, of course, but since he's said that might as well go the full mile and dogpile whoever this person is. Since it's usually been some giant asshole (or last time it was, anyway. ) ]

...I suppose so. I guess I should feel better about things, given that I managed to do a lot better here than I did back home, but it's still been difficult to deal with over these past weeks.

Actually, I'm definitely not gonna fault you for that. We're still in a crappy situation, even if you've been doing better here than at home, and you've been dealing with those dreams too.

But, you're a pretty strong guy, you know -- you have to have been in order to keep pulling your ass out of bed no matter how many times someone basically slapped cold water in your face by way of dreams or something else. So I think maybe that strength will partly help you get to that point eventually, feelings-wise anyway.
The other part will probably be us being alongside you all the way. Granted it'll take time, but like I said, you'll be able to reach it.

I'll admit that I thought about going out killing plenty of times, but I don't know. At the time I thought I was just being a coward, but maybe I was just being very slightly better than I thought I was.

Sometimes what Jericho offered wasn't something that could always be something to scoff at. Even more tempting sometimes with the timer being a thing.

Still, I'm glad nobody did as far as I can tell. It meant I wouldn't have to go around punching anyone in the face because of it.
