RESISTANCE MEETING

[The clock chimes at 10PM as it always does, and if you're one of the people who decided to go to the meeting, you'll find the conference room is properly set up to accommodate all 27 remaining students. If you were expecting refreshments or anything then tough luck. Logan can't cook and the kitchen's closed now.

Logan has taken the chair at one end of the table because of course he has, but he'll wait until most people are gathered before speaking up.]

I'm sure you're all aware of why this meeting is absolutely necessary after that... announcement. What we need to do is share any information we have about this place and our captor. The Conductor will answer letters, but I have not gotten anything particularly useful from him.

I dunno. It's, like, weird? By this point where I come from, like, the supervillain would already have given a speech and stuff? Stating his intent or whatever? Instead the Conductor's just like "sorry, can't send you home." [she sighs and leans back in her chair, throwing her arms up.] This is, like, super annoying.

I suppose you'd be the expert on supervillains. He seems accommodating, so maybe he can be reasoned with... though a number of us must have already tried.

Oh, I like. Tried yesterday? But it's, like. I don't know, I think he's as stuck here as we are? I don't think he can do much of anything, really.

So you believe he's imprisoned?

Not, like, imprisoned? But, like. You know how sometimes people kidnap your friends and are like "I'll kill them unless you do these horrible things!" or whatever? Like, maybe something like that?

[Because what she just described is totally, 100% a normal situation.]

Well, I've never come across that situation, but you seem to see a lot of abnormal things, and this is an odd situation as it is... other worlds, ancient washboards, no cooks or maids, all that.

. . . Look, I know you're like, super rich and stuff? But, like, not having a cook or maid is normal. [CHECK YOUR PRIVILEGE, YO.] The fact that everything's, like, old-timey is weird but not have servants is, like, not even a problem.

He's clearly got people working for him! Who could get us here all by themselves? So there's no reason why they can't chip in around here.
