RESISTANCE MEETING

[The clock chimes at 10PM as it always does, and if you're one of the people who decided to go to the meeting, you'll find the conference room is properly set up to accommodate all 27 remaining students. If you were expecting refreshments or anything then tough luck. Logan can't cook and the kitchen's closed now.

Logan has taken the chair at one end of the table because of course he has, but he'll wait until most people are gathered before speaking up.]

I'm sure you're all aware of why this meeting is absolutely necessary after that... announcement. What we need to do is share any information we have about this place and our captor. The Conductor will answer letters, but I have not gotten anything particularly useful from him.

I sincerely doubt any of us could handle that.

He was the Hero of Skill, guns were his specialty. I suspect he was just showing off, honestly.

[EYEROLL but that's said in a surprisingly soft tone. As angry as he is about everyone prying into his personal life, he really does have a soft spot for his stupid dead friend.]

...It's alright. The point is that if that drops from the machine, none of us will be able to use it. The recoil alone would most likely dislocate your shoulders, if you're lucky.

[Maybe someone like Dio could use it. Maybe. But if Dio isn't any good with guns then that'd be a shitshow.]

Jesus. [ Marty shakes his head. ] Not sure why the Conductor would give us a bunch of weird shit if half of us can't even use it.

[ Then again, they're all kidnapped in some weird game. Maybe stuff making sense isn't such a bad thing. ]

I'm not sure why he felt the need to put it in the machine. I asked about our weapons and he said he was keeping them safe, though obviously we cannot believe everything he says.

Keeping them safe? Jesus, what would he even need those for? Unless he wants to rub them in our faces or something.

It just doesn't...sound right. I don't like it.

...Well, to be fair, if anyone else attempted to fire Reaver's gun, I'm certain they would get horribly hurt if not find a way to kill themselves.

Neither do I. If he was going to allow us to pull weapons from the machine, why take ours in the first place?

[ Marty frowns, and eventually shrugs. ] To be an asshole? I don't know. I don't usually carry around shit like that with me so hell if I have any idea.

[ What did he even have with him before he came here? In 1955 or whatever? It feels like it's been forever. ]

When are we gonna hear from him again?

When he get bored, I'd imagine. If... nothing happens, then perhaps he'll speak up again.
