Taking Responsibility.
| A while after that space behind and above the game room has been accessed, after things have been looked over, Jericho can be heard over the intercom; apparently, it works over in that area as well. "Wow, you guys really are having a great time going through our stuff, aren't you? Good for you! Seriously, look at all of you go, utilizing Rule Four and everything. It's cute as hell. I'm guessing you want something out of all of this, though – I mean, we absolutely could leave you there to just sort of mull things over until somebody else dies, but that seems like a waste of everybody's time, and believe it or not, I'm not too crazy about wasting tme. So if you're all happy with what you found, go ahead and head down to the courtroom – as always, we'll be waiting for you." And as he's said, the door the courtroom below is unlocked and open when you arrive; as always, feel free to follow that darkened stairwell down to that familiar room made of concrete and steel. There are so few of you now. Kyrie's photograph has joined the others in the circle that have their pictures in monochrome, their podiums draped in black – but notably, the podiums have all been rearranged. There are definite patterns to it, if you look; either way, feel free to find and take your place. The pit in the center of the circle remains darkened, but it isn't as though it matters much for the time being, given that there would be no one in it; after all, the thirty-sixth podium, across from all of you, is occupied. Hilda is standing there, dressed in black as always, a notebook folded tightly against her chest – not the notebook that killed Aligula, but a nice leatherbound one. She looks at everyone expectantly as they walk in; the implication is incredibly clear. It's you against the guilty. Take control of your fate, and hold them responsible. When she does speak, it's simple and straightforward, especially as compared to Jericho's rambling. "Let's begin, shall we?" |

he's going to put the mountains of stuff he got from the room o'stuff on his podium. there's like. so much stuff?? he's going to keep the bling on though. like. it's tacky but. whatever.]

Which one of you two decided to be this dramatic?

Let's be honest, it was probably Jericho.

He looks over at Hilda, but ... then he looks at everyone else. ]
Well, if this is gonna first be about we managed to find, guess I'll start off with some of that.
[ ... ]
I went through a door in the room and into a another one that's basically an identical office to the one Alena used to use and the one Hilda uses now. The only difference is that it looks like a complete mess and that's putting it lightly.
The room's walls were riddled with bullet holes, and the chair was definitely attacked with bladed weapons, given the amount of slash marks made in it. There's also pretty much a good amount of dried blood all around the room; can't tell if this meant for sure that whoever used that room was just sitting down for all of this or what.
There's a lot of blood all over the desk too.
Anything that was on the shelves was also thrown to the ground too. All the books, files, you name it.

files, you say? Anything interesting in them?

I'm not much of a computer person, so forgive my ignorance when it came to figuring out the contraption, but the room I explored had a monitor in it as well as a few different consoles. The one seemed to control a series of cameras in this building.
After some fiddling around, I found a series of cameras connected to the same building our hostages were in. Only no hostages. It was only after I played around with it for a while that I got the "hostages" to appear, only they were more like.... puppets, I suppose? Rather than people. I didn't get the impression they were real.
...There was also the matter that in our own building, I kept seeing these.... blips... glitches? In the feed of the various empty rooms, where it kept looking like vague person-shaped images were there on occasion.

With all this talk about Hilda's missing memories and multiple book people milling about, this seems like a good time to address what I found. I've already mentioned the notes [and she'll get around to reading the other one she still has in a second], but there were a lot of other things in there.
The room I searched seemed to be a personal study, and it looked like someone might have been in there just before we came in, and there were all kinds of books laid out on a couch. They weren't written in that undecipherable language either, because I could read them.
Their subject matter centers around quantum physics. Many worlds theory, string theory, the butterfly effect, Schrodinger's cat; stuff like that.
[She brought some of the books with her, if anyone wants to look at them. You know, just casually introduce yourself to quantum physics, because it's so easy to digest.]

Sounds like someone's been a little studious here. Don't think it's a coincidence that it's stuff about multiple worlds in there... but what's the butterfly effect thing supposed to be about, anyway?

Elda and I found a bedroom, one that I think belongs to Hilda and Alena. There was a lot of cheaply-made jewelry, though one silver locket appeared to be of higher quality.
[And of course Luca grabbed it, so he holds it up. It has an H engraved on the outside.]
I tried to open it, but it appeared to be stuck.
Oh, there was also a talking notebook named Ziska. She was very nice, actually.
no subject
[ In case you want to see either... ]
What else... the view from the window in the room is the same night sky and snow place as the top floor, [ counting off on her fingers, ] the beds were made up totally differently, as was the stuff in the closet... Oh, and nothing of note in the closet including the pockets of everything.
[ . . . Sorry Hilda. ]

I found what appears to be the morgue. Granted, it was unlike a morgue I have ever seen. It was an enormous spire, containing doors with matching panels all the way around. The technology involved seemed rather out of place considering the rest of the school. That said, all of the dead were present and accounted for.
There is one thing that I cannot explain, however. All of the panels gave the option to view the vitals of those inside. I checked several, and they all showed the vitals of a living person.
[...
With a disgruntled sigh,]
However, I can assure you that those inside are still very much dead.

I wasn't created "just like" anything, because I'm me. That's all that really matters, but since you guys seem a little confused, I'll help you out. Because I didn't lie to you earlier - I can look like anyone I want. Alena, Hilda, Jericho...anybody. As long as I've got a personality to build off of, someone that I can draw resources and memories from, I can be whomever I'm needed to be.
But I'm not perfect; I made a mistake a few weeks ago, and you'd all be mad if no one was punished for it. So I killed one of my faces off so I could control another one. It's a pain in the neck to do two at once, you know?
My name is Rachel. This is the last surprise I have for you, I promise! Hopefully you don't mind if I look like this for a while longer – Hilda isn't my mom, but I like looking like her, too.
