Taking Responsibility.
| A while after that space behind and above the game room has been accessed, after things have been looked over, Jericho can be heard over the intercom; apparently, it works over in that area as well. "Wow, you guys really are having a great time going through our stuff, aren't you? Good for you! Seriously, look at all of you go, utilizing Rule Four and everything. It's cute as hell. I'm guessing you want something out of all of this, though – I mean, we absolutely could leave you there to just sort of mull things over until somebody else dies, but that seems like a waste of everybody's time, and believe it or not, I'm not too crazy about wasting tme. So if you're all happy with what you found, go ahead and head down to the courtroom – as always, we'll be waiting for you." And as he's said, the door the courtroom below is unlocked and open when you arrive; as always, feel free to follow that darkened stairwell down to that familiar room made of concrete and steel. There are so few of you now. Kyrie's photograph has joined the others in the circle that have their pictures in monochrome, their podiums draped in black – but notably, the podiums have all been rearranged. There are definite patterns to it, if you look; either way, feel free to find and take your place. The pit in the center of the circle remains darkened, but it isn't as though it matters much for the time being, given that there would be no one in it; after all, the thirty-sixth podium, across from all of you, is occupied. Hilda is standing there, dressed in black as always, a notebook folded tightly against her chest – not the notebook that killed Aligula, but a nice leatherbound one. She looks at everyone expectantly as they walk in; the implication is incredibly clear. It's you against the guilty. Take control of your fate, and hold them responsible. When she does speak, it's simple and straightforward, especially as compared to Jericho's rambling. "Let's begin, shall we?" |

He looks over at Hilda, but ... then he looks at everyone else. ]
Well, if this is gonna first be about we managed to find, guess I'll start off with some of that.
[ ... ]
I went through a door in the room and into a another one that's basically an identical office to the one Alena used to use and the one Hilda uses now. The only difference is that it looks like a complete mess and that's putting it lightly.
The room's walls were riddled with bullet holes, and the chair was definitely attacked with bladed weapons, given the amount of slash marks made in it. There's also pretty much a good amount of dried blood all around the room; can't tell if this meant for sure that whoever used that room was just sitting down for all of this or what.
There's a lot of blood all over the desk too.
Anything that was on the shelves was also thrown to the ground too. All the books, files, you name it.
no subject
files, you say? Anything interesting in them?
no subject
As you might guess, the books were useless to look through, considering they were in that dumb, indecipherable language found in those other books in that second library.
There were a pair of those files, but the first of them -- had profiles, like the ones in the foyer.
[ He brings up the first page of them for a good look. If anyone, or rather, Luca, wishes to peruse the list, it is here for your explicit viewing pleasure. ]
It's not a complete list of everyone, and it seems to contain other people who participated in other set ups like this. The only one who is alive from there is obviously Rideaux.

................................ hm that colress guy tho. hm.]

...What? I'm in there?
no subject
[ You totally can if you want, Rideaux. ]
no subject
[He'll come over to take a look! He's kind of curious about who else is in there too...]

[ ...... ]
But fine, whatever, guess that makes sense.
[ ... Wait a minute, that reminds him. He did also bring along Alena's drawings with him because it was one of those things in the room. ]
You remember these by any chance? Found them in that office too and they look like Alena's drawings.
no subject
...They're hers, yes.
no subject
Hmmm ... he's going to ask a little more about them here. ]
You remember her showing or giving these to you? Or why she liked to draw -- did she want to become an artist or something?
no subject
[...THAT'S...NOT CREEPY AT ALL, SURELY...]
She worked with machines and electronics. She was better at it than anyone I knew, she made all sorts of really sophisticated stuff.
I think those were the ones she was working on last time I saw her.
no subject
Anyway, what kind of files are we talking?
no subject
Second of the pair of files is here. The first part of this is written by hand. Second is typed.
[ There's the second file with the notes written on them. He'll read out the first part, and then the second, because he's too impatient to pass it around but he'll also allow anyone to look at these should they wish. ]
Seems to spell out to me what exactly is being planned by the bastards, or rather Jericho, here if you know what I mean.
no subject
[...maybe they should consider. heading to protect rideaux. because yeah.]
no subject
Rideaux isn't sure what to make of this shit and it kind of shows in his tone, even though he's trying to stick to his usual catty sarcasm.]
My. What an honor it is to make this list. I bet they're annoyed that I made it this far, then.
no subject
[...THANKS, HILDA.]
no subject
What's your damn problem with him anyway? He didn't do anything to deserve to be on a list like that.

...
And even then, I technically already neutralized myself back home? What is even the point in bringing me back to life so someone else can do it?
no subject
They haven't exactly tried to hide the fact that they're just as despicable as the people they "punish."
no subject
It just seems really pointless in some cases. That's all.
no subject
[ . . . ]
What if it is something worse than death, though?
no subject
Hm. There are two ideas I can think of there, one of which makes slightly more sense than the other.
I've told you how technically, where I'm from, everyone reincarnates, but only the Avatar remembers their past lives, right? Well, it's possible for the Avatar's cycle of reincarnation to be broken under certain circumstances, basically. So if we were to be "neutralized," maybe it'd kill us with no chance of being able to be reincarnated into someone else.
...Or, since multiple universes are involved, we're effectively catalysts to destroy every version of ourselves. But... that'd just be stupid, since surely there are Tarrloks out there who had perfectly normal lives since their father choked on a sea prune and died or something before he could teach them about bloodbending.
