Initiative.

Rachel looks a bit conflicted about what should happen from here; Lisbeth is still on the floor, but she's told her what she should do, and so... Well, she's never really been good at saying no, though she does walk up and reach out to pet Lisbeth's hair gingerly for a moment before turning to everyone else.

"We should leave."

And with that, the courtroom changes, all at once; it was one thing, and then quite simply it isn't, and the podium circle has been replaced with a round spread of consoles wrapping around a center spire. The room is no longer concrete and steel, but rather stark white, all done up in glossy tile that looks like it'd crack if you hit it hard enough with something – that said, it's not recommended to try, given that it's just as indestructible as everything else in the building.

Rachel approaches the consoles, reaching out to touch them, fingers tapping gently against several of the unmarked buttons; it's probably not precisely necessary for her to do so, given the state of things, but she seems to like doing it, so do it she shall. There are a pair of slots that look like keycards are required; she glances at them for a second before manipulating more buttons, causing a small panel to open up in front of her – it looks like an authorization mechanism of some sort, the kind that you press your hand against to get it to recognize you.

"It's going to be a bit jarring when you wake up; sorry about that, but you've been asleep for a really long time. I'd suggest giving it a moment."

She pauses, though, once that's out there, glancing back at everyone.

"I'll be on the other side with you, but not like this. We can still talk, though, if you like."

And with that she just turns and presses her hand against the panel without waiting for an answer; the next thing you're aware of is the flash.

That is a fair point, I think we have unleashed more than a few butterflies.

[But it's alright. They'll make it work, somehow.]

Tell me about this 'Sorcerer Supreme', then. He must be an interesting person, if you want me to meet him.
zomgboom: (what are you saying?)

You wanted to learn magic stuff, right? So, like, the Sorcerer Supreme is the most [bleeped for your sanity by the Beyond Corp.©] wizard-y person where I'm from so, like, you guys can talk fancy magic words and I can steal all his stuff while he's distracted or whatever.

[Not that she needs to steal magical artifacts but when has that ever stopped her from stealing?]

[He snorts at that last comment.]

So you're using me as a distraction, then. I see how it is.

[He is not being serious here at all.]
zomgboom: (you're saying stuff but)

It's actually more like a bonus or whatever?

[She . . . means that, weirdly. Her motivations are almost pure here???? Almost.]

I dunno, I feel like we're all family or whatever now so I just want to see you all, like, achieve your dreams and [bleeped for your sanity by the Beyond Corp.©]. It's weird. I don't like it.

It's weird to want to see people you care about succeed?

[Admittedly, the whole situation is weird anyway.]

I suppose it couldn't hurt to try, though. Who knows, maybe I can learn that same magic to travel dimensions.
zomgboom: (ugh i haven't checked my phone for ages)

I don't do. [She just kind of gestures uselessly with a hand.] Feelings. They're gross and they make you, like, sappy or whatever and I might start crying? And that would be lame.

[Superheroes can't be lame!!! Then you end up in the Great Lakes Avengers and nobody wants to end up in the GLA!!! Some of them don't even have superpowers!!!!!!]

. . . But I still want you and everyone else to get nice things, so you should, like, definitely come and learn forbidden portal magic from the Sorcerer Supreme.

Ah, feelings. I can see why they would be a problem, yes.

[He considers the offer for a moment longer. Forbidden portal magic is right up his alley, but there is one last thing that needs to be asked.]

This 'Sorcerer Supreme', is he good looking?
zomgboom: (what are you saying?)

[personal profile] zomgboom 2017-11-21 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
I dunno, what's your type?

[Because Doctor Strange is definitely not her type but she's not about to kinkshame Luca if he's into silver foxes.]

He's, like, good looking in that older guy kinda way - super classy and distinguished or whatever? Pretty sure he's super gay too, if you wanna, like, shack up with him. He lives in the Village, he has to be at least a little gay.

[Well having a super-gay wizard to maybe shack up with is nice, but.]

I was more thinking that if he is unattractive, then maybe that could be what I offered in exchange for magic lessons: lessons in how to look presentable.

Though, ah, being around people like myself might be nice. And not just for 'shacking up', as you so eloquently put it.
