Initiative.
Rachel looks a bit conflicted about what should happen from here; Lisbeth is still on the floor, but she's told her what she should do, and so... Well, she's never really been good at saying no, though she does walk up and reach out to pet Lisbeth's hair gingerly for a moment before turning to everyone else. "We should leave." And with that, the courtroom changes, all at once; it was one thing, and then quite simply it isn't, and the podium circle has been replaced with a round spread of consoles wrapping around a center spire. The room is no longer concrete and steel, but rather stark white, all done up in glossy tile that looks like it'd crack if you hit it hard enough with something – that said, it's not recommended to try, given that it's just as indestructible as everything else in the building. Rachel approaches the consoles, reaching out to touch them, fingers tapping gently against several of the unmarked buttons; it's probably not precisely necessary for her to do so, given the state of things, but she seems to like doing it, so do it she shall. There are a pair of slots that look like keycards are required; she glances at them for a second before manipulating more buttons, causing a small panel to open up in front of her – it looks like an authorization mechanism of some sort, the kind that you press your hand against to get it to recognize you. "It's going to be a bit jarring when you wake up; sorry about that, but you've been asleep for a really long time. I'd suggest giving it a moment." She pauses, though, once that's out there, glancing back at everyone. "I'll be on the other side with you, but not like this. We can still talk, though, if you like." And with that she just turns and presses her hand against the panel without waiting for an answer; the next thing you're aware of is the flash. |
ESCAPE
There's a weird, heavy feeling that washes over you in spades as soon as you begin to come around; it probably feels strange, hard for you to move, as though all of your weight is centered in your limbs for some reason and they're holding you back. There's something in front of you as well, heavy glass and metal, and even if by chance you manage to get your body to cooperate with you enough to respond, it isn't going to move, trapping you inside.
It's claustrophobic, and if you can open your eyes enough to look at what's in front of you it's transparent and entirely too bright out there, and...
And eventually the heavy panel in front of you will slide open, and oxygen will come flooding back into your system and whatever was holding you back physically seems to loosen its hold a little on your body, and after enough time passes you can push yourself up a bit and away from the stasis capsule you've been kept in all this time.
(...Or you could try to do it a few moments early and fall on your face, because whatever they had you on was a hell of a drug and your legs are going to hate you, but hey - you do you.)
You aren't the only person in this room, either; around you there are thirty-four other capsules like yours, thirty-five in total - all containing somebody coming to nearby. Admittedly, everyone is at varying degrees of function, just like you, but they all seem largely unharmed (if more than a bit woozy and also kind of a mess because wow, stasis for ten weeks).
It's been a long time, guys; feel free to have your reunions.
When you're done with that, there are things to explore here; there's another pair of rooms off to the side, one of which contains a large screen taking up almost all of the northern wall. There are a set of speakers set up nearby as well, one on either side of the screen, and the room itself is dimly-lit. This is where you can talk to Rachel, if you so choose.
There's also a second room off to the side, containing another set of those stasis capsules, similar to the one you woke up in; there are three of them in here - one of them is both closed and empty, but two of them seem to have been opened recently. Alena and Lisbeth can both be found in here; they seem to be talking, because god knows they've got a lot to talk about, but they're willing to speak to you guys as well.
There's also a back room, containing another control panel; there's something in the wall here that looks like it'll do something when activated, but it's off for now. This is going to be your way home, when you're ready to leave; once you've decided where you want to go, Rachel can send you off.
Well done, everyone; this is it.]
REUNIONS
It's been a while for some of you. Hasn't it?]

...who'd have thought a 1% chance would be enough...
[Apparently if she had continued with her intention to tamper with the votes it'd all have been for naught, because the coordinators never planned to let a winner leave, and since it was all a simulation in a virtual world, she'd have been at their mercy. It'd have ended in everyone's death, including hers, and the cycle would have continued. Who knew how many times more she'd be dragged to play the game.
This was the first time she felt so, so glad she let herself be convinced to spare everyone's lives.
Kyrie manages to get off the pod, stepping forward hesitantly. She's not expecting any kind of farewell, given what she did. You don't kill two people and almost doom everyone and not receive hate for that.
She has plans for her life now. First than all: kill a Kyrie Ushiromiya in another world. Don't put herself in the situation that'd lead to her death -- she's just going to steal the gold bit by bit. No more money problems. Cherish Battler and Rudolf and Ange. Live a long life, hopefully without killing anyone.]
...good luck, all of you.
[She mutters to nobody, more like a general thing, kind of hoping it'll go unheard and...well, she tries to walk away, stumbling towards the back room. She's calm, resigned, and isn't going to force her presence on anyone]

Yeah, Jean missed that memo.
Upside is that when he flopped out of his stasis capsule like an inept fish, he didn't break anything. Downside is, he's only just managed to roll himself onto his back and start pushing himself up, but it's not going so great. He's not doing any better or worse than anyone around him, but even so he slides an annoyed, confused, slightly concerned look to whoever happens to be closest by. ]
This'll wear off fast, right...?

But when she breathes in, something comes to her.
She can smell the blood of everyone in the room.
Her senses are back, even her her body and mind are both groggy, and she can smell everyone, from the delicious (that must be Walter White or Susan, she assumes) to the positively rancid (Adelina or Sayaka, perhaps?) and that overwhelming sensation more than anything else, in this immediate overwhelming moment sees Elda tearing up even more, her hands over her face both to try to adjust her eyes to the light and to hold in the rush of all hell of emotions she might have been feeling during that grueling final battle but needed to remain strong for.
... She is Indomitable, though. And so she does stand the minute her legs don't feel like led, walking with a surprising grace and dignity to meet with everyone else.
She swore she would drag them out of hell, if she needed. She swore she would save Lisbeth, if she could. She swore she was Rachel's friend. ... And somehow, against all odds, it seems she made good on all of them. ]
... This really is the end.
[ and despite her usual bravado, she does sound a little bit surprised herself. ]

A part of him had felt kind of awkward at the end of all that, like he should go over and say something to Lisbeth. Maybe... pat her on the shoulder? But then, he's not really touchy feely, and so he... kind of kept quiet after all that. Maybe once he's recovered from the... that. He'll be fine.
...it's a funny paradox when he actually wakes up. He's technically been sleeping all this time, right? But he feels so tired.
...It's actually not a bad tired. You know, for once in over two months. But he needs to process a few things before he finally does make that first step out of the pod and kind of... stretches a bit, before muttering to himself.]
...
I'm really surprised that turned out as well as it did.

He sits on the edge of the pop for a while, trying to get the feeling back in his limbs.

She glances at her hands. She still can't tell but she's certain the green is still there. Somethings just stick with you forever.
She wonders though. If she's alive, this whole time...
"Are you there?"
Her fingers twitch a little, but she isn't sure if that's Celia or if she's just trying to trick herself. She doesn't understand this damn nonsense, any of it, but... she feels a sense of loss. Maybe she's woozy too. Maybe she'll be back around shortly.
God, what did her life become that she missed that utter mess of a germ?
She pulls herself out, stumbling a little, and just rests on her legs for a moment. Whew.]

Eventually though, he drags his hand down his face and sighs. He can think about this more later. Maybe over a drink, as it had become tradition.
And so he steps out and joins the others, some he hasn't seen in a while. He'll...do his best to not let his thoughts about that show on his expression when he greets them.]

Once he's finally out of the pod, he takes up residence near one of the walls, just watching the others. There are a few people he wants to talk to before he... well, he hasn't exactly decided what he's going to do. That's part of the reason why he wants to talk to a few people, but part of it is that he's genuinely made some friends here and it would be weird not to say anything to them.
He'll be over here straightening his uniform and otherwise making sure he looks presentable if you want to talk to him, but otherwise he's going to be holding up this wall, because Archer has learned nothing about having fun.]

It's going to be alright.
But as soon as he steps out of his pod, he draws in a sharp breath. It's been ten weeks, and he's almost gotten used to life without them, but now his powers are back and he can finally see again. It's like seeing color again after getting used to a life of greyscale, and it takes him a moment to adjust.
For at least a few minutes, Luca is just staring wide-eyed at the people around him, like he's seeing them all for the first time. He stops and focuses on a few people for a particularly long time, but eventually he will still move on, casting his gaze towards another person. As he does this, he is muttering to himself, though anyone close enough to him can hear it.]
Introvert...extrovert...definitely an extrovert...hmm. Seems I was outnumbered, as usual.
[But he doesn't sound disappointed. In fact, he almost sounds excited, or at least as excited as he can appear. Because even though he is a scientist, even though he is overjoyed to have his powers back, he is still a gentleman. And gentlemen don't cause a ruckus.
But eventually he will actually address everyone, at least in small group conversation. Because he has a lot of people to talk to at least one more time.]
Hello. And goodbye as well, I suppose.

When she's done all that, she'll slowly climb out of her capsule for the... most part. She's decided sitting by it is a good idea, while she pulls her hair out of her ponytail and runs her fingers through it to fix it. Ten weeks of that wasn't really kind to it, okay. She's pouting.
After that, though— ]

The abject horror when she remembers will settle back in later. For now, eyes half-shuttered, Rin climbs out of her pod with surprising grace. In that half-asleep state, she notes the other pods around her, all opening up as well... Including some of the dead?
She wonders which ones belong to the people she's missed for so long. She wonders which one is Kirei's.

Susan lies in her pod and performs the usual checks. Head: intact. Limbs: working. No wounds, no blood, not so much as a tear in her clothes. Only when she's assured of her own health does she open her eyes, and only when she feels steady and secure again does she start to pull herself out of the pod. No faltering or stumbling here. It's always been important for her not to get back up until she's absolutely ready.
But this time, she's not alone in some dangerous lair. This time, there's people - friends - waking up all around her.
Despite herself, Susan can't help but smile a little. This isn't hers - she hasn't stabbed some evil mastermind with a flaming sword, or anything like that. But it's a victory nonetheless. She wins every time. They win, every single time.
It doesn't mean there's no more work to be done. Susan straightens, smooths her shirt and jacket, and goes to check in on all her dear, ridiculous idiots who climbed out of their pods too early.]

Summoning Ourboros is not going to wait however, he's doing that as soon as he gets up from the pod. It's the same long never-ending chain from his execution, with the addition of it's movements being decidedly more snake-like. Testing out his other powers can wait aside from projecting some barrier magic (which is visible as a bright blue seal), he might be needing that sooner rather than later.
There are a few people he's likely going to seek out, but for the most part, he's just happy this is all over. If you happen to come over however: ]

You all did it, I’m so proud of you, I -
[Then the tears really come, but the smile doesn’t leave her face.]
Thank you. Thank you so much!
[And then she does manage to stand, and she doesn’t particularly care which of the eight survivors she hugs, just as long as it’s one of them. Eventually she’ll hug almost everyone, even if she’s not normally so touchy-feely, just because she’s so glad.]
