Initiative.
Rachel looks a bit conflicted about what should happen from here; Lisbeth is still on the floor, but she's told her what she should do, and so... Well, she's never really been good at saying no, though she does walk up and reach out to pet Lisbeth's hair gingerly for a moment before turning to everyone else. "We should leave." And with that, the courtroom changes, all at once; it was one thing, and then quite simply it isn't, and the podium circle has been replaced with a round spread of consoles wrapping around a center spire. The room is no longer concrete and steel, but rather stark white, all done up in glossy tile that looks like it'd crack if you hit it hard enough with something – that said, it's not recommended to try, given that it's just as indestructible as everything else in the building. Rachel approaches the consoles, reaching out to touch them, fingers tapping gently against several of the unmarked buttons; it's probably not precisely necessary for her to do so, given the state of things, but she seems to like doing it, so do it she shall. There are a pair of slots that look like keycards are required; she glances at them for a second before manipulating more buttons, causing a small panel to open up in front of her – it looks like an authorization mechanism of some sort, the kind that you press your hand against to get it to recognize you. "It's going to be a bit jarring when you wake up; sorry about that, but you've been asleep for a really long time. I'd suggest giving it a moment." She pauses, though, once that's out there, glancing back at everyone. "I'll be on the other side with you, but not like this. We can still talk, though, if you like." And with that she just turns and presses her hand against the panel without waiting for an answer; the next thing you're aware of is the flash. |

...it's probably best for Alex to have somewhere good to go to as well.
[He'd rather not have her be tempted to find more bodies for her ghost friends.]

[ Plus the whole bodies for ghosts thing. ]

[ . . . which has vampires and vampire genocides. ]

[ SEEMS SHADY TO HER. ]

It's a bit more complicated than that, but yes.

Honestly, when I think about it, you're all weird.

[But no really she has a point.]

... Well, mine are! The sort Lisbeth is seem very strange.

[ Look. ]
... Regardless. We did it. Where to next for you? Back to being a hustler?

[Which means he could visit people whenever he wanted to, if he learned that.]

That...might have to be it, yes. I might have to deliver letters only, if these 'forbidden portals' can't take more than myself to other places.
I don't know how long it will take me to learn, though. I may be quite old by the time we see each other again.

[He's not quite as optimistic as Elda is.
Also there's certain people here he does not want to ferry around for any reason.]

[A pause.]
If it doesn't work out, though, and we do not see each other again...just know that I am glad to have met you. It was a struggle at first, but I think I changed for the better because of you.
[And everyone else too, but Elda played a big part in that.]

... I. I know not what I've done other than speak my mind. Though I think perhaps I've been a little tough on you now and again, and I know for certain that I'd indulged too much in the sympathy that you offer much too freely.
[ Her cheeks color and... Okay, inhale, exhale. ]
In the end, you are a good man. And you have ever been reliable for me, whatever else I've said.
no subject
[He can be an ass a lot of the time.]
But thank you, for your thoughts and words. I'll try to live up to them, the best that I can.

[ . . . ] But your point was well made, that while ago. You really aren't all that much older than Green. Perhaps it isn't unfitting for me to teach you a lesson or three.
