Initiative.

Rachel looks a bit conflicted about what should happen from here; Lisbeth is still on the floor, but she's told her what she should do, and so... Well, she's never really been good at saying no, though she does walk up and reach out to pet Lisbeth's hair gingerly for a moment before turning to everyone else.

"We should leave."

And with that, the courtroom changes, all at once; it was one thing, and then quite simply it isn't, and the podium circle has been replaced with a round spread of consoles wrapping around a center spire. The room is no longer concrete and steel, but rather stark white, all done up in glossy tile that looks like it'd crack if you hit it hard enough with something – that said, it's not recommended to try, given that it's just as indestructible as everything else in the building.

Rachel approaches the consoles, reaching out to touch them, fingers tapping gently against several of the unmarked buttons; it's probably not precisely necessary for her to do so, given the state of things, but she seems to like doing it, so do it she shall. There are a pair of slots that look like keycards are required; she glances at them for a second before manipulating more buttons, causing a small panel to open up in front of her – it looks like an authorization mechanism of some sort, the kind that you press your hand against to get it to recognize you.

"It's going to be a bit jarring when you wake up; sorry about that, but you've been asleep for a really long time. I'd suggest giving it a moment."

She pauses, though, once that's out there, glancing back at everyone.

"I'll be on the other side with you, but not like this. We can still talk, though, if you like."

And with that she just turns and presses her hand against the panel without waiting for an answer; the next thing you're aware of is the flash.

Hey, I don't blame you.

[ He's sure a few of the people here wanted to do the same. ]

They sure might be. I know something like that might happen after some period of relaxing when I get back home with the others.

[ Maybe like some kind of 'welcome home party' set up by him, his friends or something. Who knows. ]

Mmm. It really would be fun to force Calera to plan things out for me. I'm sure she'd be willing if I've really been missing for a few months.

[ Hahaha... old lady laugh. ]

[personal profile] hesperos 2017-11-21 06:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd say go for it.

[ Yuri's sure someone back home would be nudged into doing something similar in someway, so. ]

Who's Calera? A friend of yours?
matchbreaker: (MY NUTS)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-11-21 06:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh heavens, no. She's my daughter-in-law.
hesperos: (75)

[personal profile] hesperos 2017-11-21 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
She is, huh? Don't think I've heard of her.

What's she like?

[ ... They still got time to shoot the shit, as phrased ever so elegantly. ]

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-11-22 05:56 pm (UTC)(link)
... Normally I would answer that "the worst" but in the context of us reviving Kirei and saving Lisbeth, I'm not sure that's fair anymore.

[personal profile] hesperos 2017-11-22 06:18 pm (UTC)(link)
... Oh yeah, definitely not.

[ ... ]

I've been trying to forget about the crappy priest being alive in the first place, but I guess that's going to be impossible. As for Lisbeth, don't even get me started on that.
matchbreaker: (I sense this will be useful)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-11-23 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
I can take responsibility for both, if you don't want it.

[ Exhale. ]

In any case, Calera's domineering and impossibly stubborn. She's quick to being snappish and is always bossing my poor Henry around. She's a very strong woman, all things considered.

[personal profile] hesperos 2017-11-23 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Nah. I had my part to play in that too, even if it wasn't ... y'know. [ You know, necessarily too influential (in his opinion). ] I've gotta take responsibility for it too.

[ He sounds a little like he'd rather stick an asshole or two in acid instead, however, even though he's doing his best effort to keep it casual. ]

... Wow, really? Considering everything, I'm guessing it gets you two into a lot of fights. But hey, all the more reason for it to be good if you can force her to throw that party.
matchbreaker: (WITH CRUEL INTENTIONS)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-11-24 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
Precisely! The last year or so she's been trying to be nice to me to fool me into some security, but I see through it.

[ He'll laugh at that. ]

That's family for you. Or...something.

[ He's smiling to himself. ]

I'd ask you to take a "photo" of the party, but I don't think those can be sent across worlds or anything like that.

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-11-24 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
Unless Rideaux's phone is a dimension-phone or something. It seems to do everything else, and you're keeping the man, right?
hesperos: (80)

[personal profile] hesperos 2017-11-24 05:56 am (UTC)(link)
Huh. I didn't think to ask if he still had that.

[ Good job, Yuri! \o/ ]

... Yeah, of course I'm keeping him. [ There's a pause. That sounds weird...or does it? ] As in bringing him along -- I don't think either of us really want to be separated anytime soon. At least not in the sense of being worlds away or anything.

[ . . . Snort.

Probably not very ladylike, but whatever, she can afford it once. ]

Sayaka's with me, obviously. I... I would like to ask Susan, as she has little left where she was from and I wouldn't mind asking Aligula, but she has much left there.
hesperos: (186)

[personal profile] hesperos 2017-11-24 07:57 pm (UTC)(link)
[ It's fine, Yuri will not judge. ]

I plan on asking Luca too, but if he wants to go elsewhere, then that's all on him.

[ Since he's not going to force anyone to do anything. ]

Anyway, I think you should go along with asking both. Even if Aligula's got a lot of stuff back home -- if she decides she wants to stay, then of course that's her choice, but better to ask then to leave any regrets if you hadn't, right?
matchbreaker: (I refuse to be forgotten)

[personal profile] matchbreaker 2017-11-24 07:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Perhaps. ... But I've got a good three hundred more years left in me and who knows how many she has. Whatever I ask her has to be prepared to last more than one lifetime.
hesperos: (102)

[personal profile] hesperos 2017-11-24 09:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow. You plan on asking her other things too? Besides to come along, I mean.

I... no. Not really? I'm not quite sure I'll even ask that.

[personal profile] hesperos 2017-11-25 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
