RESISTANCE MEETING 2: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO

[Like last week, the conference room is set up with enough chairs for everyone (two less than last week) but there isn't any food provided because of the uh... dinner party. Hopefully that didn't go so poorly that the entire group has been split or anything, that would certainly suck.

But once again it's time to discuss the state of things here. Logan's in the same seat he was last time at one end of the table. He's particularly distracted today and he can't seem to focus on that book he's been carrying around, so he'll start things a little earlier today.]

As I'm sure you all know, this week's incentive could easily motivate someone to attempt to murder someone. We need to discuss the state of things here - has anyone found anything since the last meeting? Nighttime patrols have been discussed and I believe Giovanni was handling that. Do we have any other ideas for how we could prevent any more deaths?

(OOC: Like last time, treat this post like a trial - threadjack and go crazy!)

[In case it's not clear, Hibiki is going to wait on Mr. Brando ("old man") to weigh in before she starts adding anything to the note again.]

[that's dio to you, thank you very much]

I've considered it as well. It would be simple to be locked into the kitchen or mail room, but I also think Logan may be correct. He's likely to kill us outright for breaking his precious rules, and 'some areas of the facility are off-limits to Participants' seems unfortunately difficult for even me to argue around.

So that plan comes down to 'can the one locked in kill him before they're killed themselves', and I don't think the odds would be in our favor unless all of us were in the same room. Even then, there's a real risk of failure.

[Brando-san.]

When you put it like that, it sounds impossible. But what if we could see into the kitchen without being inside of it? Is something like that possible? Sometimes, when you give someone a rule, there are creative ways around it, right?

[hibiki that's an excellent way to get on the vampire's shit list instantly, you have no idea]

I could argue that banning us from either room at night contradicts 'Participants are encouraged to investigate and utilize the facility to their liking', but he's just as likely to come back and say the former takes precedence due to being higher on the list.

[Law school graduate, folks.]

That said, there must be something. A creatively arranged system of mirrors in the mail room and under the door seems overly elaborate, not to mention easily destroyed.

What if we just dismantled the door entirely? Take it off its hinges and put it in the incinerator? I don't recall any rule against that.

[then maybe he should introduce himself properly before she offends him by being polite???? wow, rude as hell.

She quickly wants to add something onto that, so she tries to get it before Logan does.]

There's also the storage room. It's right next to the kitchen, but it's not locked at night. I don't know if making a hole in the wall would work at all and peeping isn't really something I approve of, but it wouldn't be the worst thing, right?

We may as well use both methods, I think. If he's busy replacing the door, he may miss a hole in the wall if it's concealed well enough.

If we're turning to the alcoholic fool for assistance, someone else is going to have to do it. He and I are not on speaking terms for the sake of his own continued health.

I'm against working with him, too. He isn't trustworthy.

[She doesn't think Dio is, either, but at least he's being a lot more civil than he is in a trial.]

[say what you will about dio]

[he's not rick.]

[and that says a lot about rick.]

I think it's better we leave it alone. If we let on what we're thinking of right now, he's likely to add dismantling the doors and walls as something punishable by death.

nankurunaisa: (15; what is this)

[personal profile] nankurunaisa 2015-11-18 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)
How hard is it to take apart a door?

Would it be easier if someone distracted him with the phone while we did this? Sometimes, my pets will try to distract me while they sneak a few extra treats. It'd be just like that.
nankurunaisa: (71; Please don't cry)

[personal profile] nankurunaisa 2015-11-18 11:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Then we'd at least know he's not alone, right? That's useful, too. I think.

So we have someone call him and then simultaneously take apart the door and cut a hole in the wall. We'll need to determine if we have the tools for both, unfortunately I can't brute force something like that right now.
nankurunaisa: (17; well he hit me first)

That's really all we can do, huh. But even if we don't learn what we want, we'll learn something. That's what I think.
