RESISTANCE MEETING 2: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO

[Like last week, the conference room is set up with enough chairs for everyone (two less than last week) but there isn't any food provided because of the uh... dinner party. Hopefully that didn't go so poorly that the entire group has been split or anything, that would certainly suck.

But once again it's time to discuss the state of things here. Logan's in the same seat he was last time at one end of the table. He's particularly distracted today and he can't seem to focus on that book he's been carrying around, so he'll start things a little earlier today.]

As I'm sure you all know, this week's incentive could easily motivate someone to attempt to murder someone. We need to discuss the state of things here - has anyone found anything since the last meeting? Nighttime patrols have been discussed and I believe Giovanni was handling that. Do we have any other ideas for how we could prevent any more deaths?

[Unlike last week, Ashley's got nothing with her to crochet, though she doesn't exactly look any less uncomfortable than in the prior meeting. If anything, that giant park she's wearing makes her appear even smaller.]

Uh... I found out a few things. There's...seven floors to this place. According to the Conductor, he doesn't watch us when we're...changing clothes, or in the shower or other...private moments. [So that must be reassuring, Morty.]

Oh, uh...and... He thinks the person who brought us here, the one who kidnapped us- ...he said he's best described as, uh, God.

...Did he say he thinks that, or that he knew it? If it's the former, that raises some questions over how much he's really comprehending of his own situation. In the case of the latter, he might well be delusional.

Does this mean the psycho expects five more murders?

Which god? Probably some minor local one we won't know, but it's good to ask.

Simple: we all gain some common sense.

Do none of you comprehend the idea of 'divide and conquer'? While there's no way to know if we outnumber the Conductor with whoever he may collaborate with, the fact remains that the odds of 'one versus all' a potential murderer would face are effectively suicide. Even with that aside, it's useless to kill each other for the incentives the Conductor may not even be able to grant us.

I agree completely, but we need more than that. If any among us are rash enough to act without thinking everything through, we are still in a dangerous position. A solid goal to work towards would be more effective.

[The extra empty seats in the conference room were the first thing Rakka noticed, places where there would normally be a fish guardswoman, and a grandma witch. It was... unnerving, and Rakka had to tear her gaze away from those seats.]

Umm... [She speaks up a little, sitting up straight in her chair.] The Conductor told me that it's Autumn right now, and it's going to be winter, soon too! [Not that any of them could tell if that was true.]

And, apparently... someone is slowly giving us our memories back, but it's not the Conductor.

We know the Conductor's weird, but I'm... interested in figuring out his personal logic. To that end...

...Do you know why he takes care of the bodies, once everything's done? There are practical reasons, but this man - of all people - thinks desecrating the corpses would be "highly disrespectful".

The way he said it... I think he sort of respects the dead- no. [ lightbulb moment. ] He doesn't hate the dead the way he hates the living.

What is he doing with the bodies? Is he burying them?

There was something he told me like this- in one of my most recent ones-- Wait.

[She takes out a letter and skims it.]

"I don't believe that the dead should be forgotten, nor do I believe that those who have taken lives should be permitted to forget those they've removed from the world of the living."

It was...interesting, to say the least. Does it, um...help?

I think meetin' up after we're given an incentive is a good one, but since we're...you know, doin' that...

[ She's not 100% sure. How do you talk someone out of something they won't admit to having committed to? If someone here has. ]

...Spending more time together as a group ain't a bad one, either. If we start eatin' our meals around the same time together instead of whenever the fuck, it might help us trust one another a little more, you know? I think at least with Undyne, the fact that she didn't trust us...helped that to happen.

I have a concern, at the moment. A rather pressing one.

[Cabanela folds his hands across his chest, but he doesn't start pulling out papers at the moment.]

The other day, I found what I believe is evidence that someone is plotting a murder. After two murders, it's not a surprise, but it was a liiittle odd; it was a paper tucked away, like someone had forgotten about it.

I mentioned it to Jean earlier, but I wrote the Conductor sometime last week and he mentioned that we remind him of a group of people he used to work with. Most of them were scientists I don't know if that's actually all that relevant, though?

[ There's some other stuff too, but he's probably not going to divulge unless asked. ]

... And he also said the reason some people keep their abilities and others don't might be because of what species you are. Humans are shit outta luck, but since Kaneki wasn't human [ he's just not even going to mention Dio here ay ] he... retained some vital elements of his being, I think is how he phrased it. But he also said it's just a theory.
