RESISTANCE MEETING 2: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO

[Like last week, the conference room is set up with enough chairs for everyone (two less than last week) but there isn't any food provided because of the uh... dinner party. Hopefully that didn't go so poorly that the entire group has been split or anything, that would certainly suck.

But once again it's time to discuss the state of things here. Logan's in the same seat he was last time at one end of the table. He's particularly distracted today and he can't seem to focus on that book he's been carrying around, so he'll start things a little earlier today.]

As I'm sure you all know, this week's incentive could easily motivate someone to attempt to murder someone. We need to discuss the state of things here - has anyone found anything since the last meeting? Nighttime patrols have been discussed and I believe Giovanni was handling that. Do we have any other ideas for how we could prevent any more deaths?

(OOC: Like last time, treat this post like a trial - threadjack and go crazy!)

Well, there's always something like Truth or Dare, right? I suppose that might be a little... frivolous to some of us, I suppose, but I think having something similar every so often would be enough.

Yeah, but while it's fun to watch, it's embarrassin' for participants unless you ask the right things.

[Like...telling two people to kiss each other. The ability to give out dares is a beautiful power, but he has to be careful in planning them.]

There should be more things that don't take much time to prepare. Why this room? Why not a day at the shootin' range?

You want to teach more people to use those bows?

[Mordecai it's bad enough that we're all armed to the teeth with machine prizes]

There's not enough crossbows for everyone.

Anyway, I'm tossin' out other things we can do together. I doubt libraries and first aid rooms are the best place to throw parties.

There's the ballroom.

[Offered diffidently, because while it doesn't bother her to the point that she won't go in there...well, that IS the death room.]

Or we could just go spend time with the chickens.

Uh, I got a bunch of go pieces? So if we make a board, we can play that. And...well, we can all think of stuff to do, surely. Tell stories to one another, sing songs, whatever. What's important is that we make opportunities to get to know one another better, right?

Or if you have no sense of shame, of course. That can be helpful.

And honestly, that doesn't sound half bad. We could probably set something up between the gym and the dojo, too... an obstacle course of some kind, maybe?

[Like you, Giovanni? Don't assume Mordecai doesn't have shippy dares in mind for the next time you play.]

Never was fond of sports and those kinda games, but if we must, I can try.

[come at him, bro]

It'd be something different than usual, at least... though, it's best to come up with more options than just that.

Well, I set up the dinner party, now it's someone else's turn to come up with a community event. You're volunteered.

Oh, yes, of course. Don't worry, I'll think of something sooner or later. It really would be nice if we had cards or something for a game night, though... maybe a book club?

...I got some dice from the machine if we ever need to make a game out of readin'.
oftheland: (but that is not how type matchups work)

[personal profile] oftheland 2015-11-26 08:02 pm (UTC)(link)
...how would that work, exactly? I'm certainly interested if you know any, but I've never done anything like that before.

No, see, we did this game at the last Christmas party I was at. We'd open to a random page of a book and read the first sentence we spotted. Only without any dice, they relied on the spinner in my head to pick whose turn it was [Mordecai was stupid drunk at the time, so it was random enough.] and it flippin' through pages ain't the most fair way of pickin' a spot.

With each of us readin' different books, it can lead to a looots of hilarity!

Ohhh, I see. ...actually, yes, I can imagine how that'd get interesting, although you'd have to have the right variety of books for it.
forcegalactic: (yay no trouble)

Romance books always got the most unusual sentences when taken out of context. I'm sure the Conductor's collected plenty of those over the years.

...I'd say he doesn't seem to be the type, but he does have a lot of bizarre stuff in that machine, doesn't he? Now I really am curious to go through those.
