RESISTANCE MEETING 2: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO

[Like last week, the conference room is set up with enough chairs for everyone (two less than last week) but there isn't any food provided because of the uh... dinner party. Hopefully that didn't go so poorly that the entire group has been split or anything, that would certainly suck.

But once again it's time to discuss the state of things here. Logan's in the same seat he was last time at one end of the table. He's particularly distracted today and he can't seem to focus on that book he's been carrying around, so he'll start things a little earlier today.]

As I'm sure you all know, this week's incentive could easily motivate someone to attempt to murder someone. We need to discuss the state of things here - has anyone found anything since the last meeting? Nighttime patrols have been discussed and I believe Giovanni was handling that. Do we have any other ideas for how we could prevent any more deaths?

As I've told several people by now, that isn't how it works. I wasn't bitten by anything, not that it matters. This is completely irrelevant to the initial discussion at hand.

You don't have to be bitten, you just have to, like, have a vampire's saliva in your bloodstream. [You shouldn't have given me a reason to talk about Marvel Vampires.] And it, like, could be relevant. Maybe you're a baby vampire and you're not powerful enough to, like, be worth nullifying your powers.

First, that's not remotely how one becomes like this in my own world. Second, the age doesn't matter. When one turns into what I am, one is immediately granted that strength and agility you yourself just mentioned.

Yeah, you get powers. But they get stronger as you become, like, a crusty old vampire versus a baby one. It's like, I could take on any vampire under a hundred years old, but Dracula is basically like trying to fight the Juggernaut and Hulk by yourself.

[Not that that metaphor means anything to most people.]

[ah yes. he knows what some of these words mean.]

Let me explain it this way. A vampire a matter of minutes old is powerful enough to shatter a concrete wall and throw someone of about my height across a street with barely any effort.

Presuming I did in fact cease being human at twenty-one, I have been this way for vastly more time than that.

So why haven't you punched your way out of here yet?

Pay attention instead of imagining me without a shirt, I said I can't. I tried, and the best I could manage is a broken chair and that crack in the wall over there. Mordecai can confirm as much.

You could've just keep punching. [That's a valid thing where she comes from.] Or did it, like, affect your healing too?

[Because it sure affected hers. Not that she wants to tell anyone that.]

I'm more likely to break my arm than do any damage to the front door, and do you have any idea how much blood it would take to heal that?

Because trust me, it's more than would be convenient for any of you.

Normally it wouldn't take that much. [SHRUG.] That's why I'm asking. Because, like, I actually heal at a normal human pace here. It's weird.

[How does she know this? Well, she woke up with Some Wounds and they took forever by her scale to heal.]
