Week 4.
Ashley Williams and Asuka Langley Shikinami have joined the ranks of the deceased. Two more deaths, two more people whose absences will be felt by the group; a bit over one-fifth of the Participants are dead. And this week, it seems everyone is feeling it. They say three times can be considered a routine, and the fourth week of the exercise isn't breaking pattern any. Saturday can be given to rest and sleep; on Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock. There are no more bodies, no more bloodstains; there's nothing else to be found this morning. Unless, of course, you count whatever you found last night, strange dreams or otherwise. Once again, there's a new floor to explore; after everything that trial decided to be yesterday, you deserve the reward. And for the second time, there are rule changes, effective immediately. You might want to take note of them. |

....No luck. Though really, she wasn't that bummed out at the moment, but she could hope for some more memories too, right?]
Oh... Well, that's fine. If it's anything like the game you played, then that means you could play it if you wanted.

[she's really curious now, you can't stop her from being curious, Logan.]

[She looks and sounds like she has no idea what any of those are.]

Hollow Men are corpses controlled by Wisps. They're fairly easy to take down, though there are often a good number of them. They can usually only be found at night.
Balverines are large wolves capable of taking a human form. They are very dangerous and while they do have weaknesses, they can be difficult to kill. Rumor has it that a human can become a Balverine if they are bitten by one.
[THE MORE YOU KNOW]

[THAT...
IS NEW TO HER. But still, Rakka's listening with the upmost interest. She should have probably been more hesitant, and now she knows what she might be dreaming about tonight.]
Wow...

There are plenty of other monsters, but those are the most common in my experience. I've traveled through all of Albion and across the sea, and those are the ones I've seen the most.
no subject
Is Albion full of monsters like that? Everywhere?
no subject
[Except Silverpines, because that place is infested with Balverines. Sorry guys, you're on your own if you want to live in Balverine Central.]
Outside of the towns though... Yes. Monsters typically stick to their homes, but should you be unfortunate enough to come across them... Well, there aren't many survivors.
no subject
That's insane...! [She's not trying to be rude! It's just.... a little unbelievable.] But, they still remind you of monsters in that book?
no subject
They do, yes. They're not exactly the same, but there are monsters that are similar enough for the purposes of the game. There are made up ones in the books back home as well, of course.
[Banshees totally aren't real!!!]
no subject
Are there any other books like that?
no subject
[He gestures to where the d20 game books are kept on the shelf.]
I'm not familiar with the others, however.

And now she's flipping through it. Flip, flip, flip. Pages turn, and Rakka's expression gives the appearance of "confused, but curious". So, the usual.]
Ooooh....
no subject
[rakka do you really want to become a nerd like him, do you want to go down this road]
no subject
They are! A game like this sounds really complex!
no subject
They can be, but after you play it for some time you'll get used to it.
no subject
[After she's done looking at this book. She needs an idea of how to actually do any of this.]
