Week 4.

WEEK 4 Ashley Williams and Asuka Langley Shikinami have joined the ranks of the deceased. Two more deaths, two more people whose absences will be felt by the group; a bit over one-fifth of the Participants are dead. And this week, it seems everyone is feeling it. They say three times can be considered a routine, and the fourth week of the exercise isn't breaking pattern any. Saturday can be given to rest and sleep; on Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock. There are no more bodies, no more bloodstains; there's nothing else to be found this morning. Unless, of course, you count whatever you found last night, strange dreams or otherwise. Once again, there's a new floor to explore; after everything that trial decided to be yesterday, you deserve the reward. And for the second time, there are rule changes, effective immediately. Honestly I'm surprised she didn't have a cow already. She showed me a picture of her pets - there's a lot of them.

She got one from the machine, then? That's nice to hear. A reminder of home.

At least it can occasionally give out nice things. It just gave me a clock from my flat.

It's also giving out bottles of milk from my farm. At least I know they're still producing without me around to keep them on task.

Of course. They'd still need the money, wouldn't they?

Well, yes, but back home, I'm always on them to make sure they're doing their jobs.

...I may have been a bit harsh on them. Just a little.

[Susan arches an eyebrow.]

Just a little? [Oh she knows that type] If you don't trust them to do their jobs, why on earth did you hire them?

I suppose I'm... I've just expected too much of people and wanted everything right when I think of it. I hope they're doing all right back there.

I'm sure they're alright.

[It sounds as if they were the ones really running the place, after all.]

I suppose you could try writing to them, but I doubt the Conductor actually delivers those.

I might. It would be good to try, in case... ah, I'm thinking too hard again.
