WEEK 4 Ashley Williams and Asuka Langley Shikinami have joined the ranks of the deceased. Two more deaths, two more people whose absences will be felt by the group; a bit over one-fifth of the Participants are dead. And this week, it seems everyone is feeling it. They say three times can be considered a routine, and the fourth week of the exercise isn't breaking pattern any. Saturday can be given to rest and sleep; on Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock. There are no more bodies, no more bloodstains; there's nothing else to be found this morning. Unless, of course, you count whatever you found last night, strange dreams or otherwise. Once again, there's a new floor to explore; after everything that trial decided to be yesterday, you deserve the reward. And for the second time, there are rule changes, effective immediately. Oh yeah, dragons are good, those are supposed to be hard to kill or something. And don't they hoard treasure or something? We can go conquer the dragon's dungeon and then get rich as hell afterward.

Definitely. There's gotta be a lot of stuff we can buy in the game too.

[ All games have weapon shops this one has to have one too, right? ]

Hell yes, if you're gonna be a Paladin then you're going to need a cool sword. Like a sword that can cut through anything, or something like that.

[ It's a good thing it's a fictional sword, or else getting a scabbard for it would be... difficult... ]

What about a sword that uses souls for power? I'll call it Morgif.

[ Totally not a sword he actually owns or anything... ]

... That was way more metal than I was expecting from you.

[ He seems impressed but there's also an equal part of "man. That's kind of creepy" in his expression because this could slide right into my weapon is powered by DEATH. ]

Are souls an exhaustible resource here?

[ Yuuri gives him a confused look. Metal? Is that a compliment? ]

Well, this is fantasy so souls can be inexhaustible or something! Morgif can just borrow them for a while. [ Mostly because he'd feel bad killing fictional people. ]

Besides, I never really used the actual sword like that anyway.

Wait a sec, so. In real life. In actual reality, you use a sword powered by souls?

[ Bakugou keeps thinking nothing is going to weird him out again. He keeps being proved wrong. And he's actually really okay with that. ]

Yeah... Well, I used it once actually. I got rid of the soul stealing part, so now it's just a regular sword with a weird face on it.

[ There is a fairly length pause. ]

You know, the whole time I thought you were some kinda weirdo chuunibyou because of your profile saying you were a demon king and all. [ This, coming from a guy with some serious dreams/delusions of grandeur and is technically probably the most chuuni person in the whole school. ] But you sound like. A legit demon king.

What the actual fuck. You'd think Satan and Lucifer woulda noticed their undersized demon kin missing by now.

[ He's not serious.

[ He just stares at Bakugou for a moment, wondering if he's actually serious. ]

Undersized...? [ Wait that's not the only thing he should be taking from all of that. ]

... What about Lucifer.

[ This almost definitely is not what Bakugou should be taking from this conversation but here he goes anyway. ]

No... Seriously, demons aren't like that where I'm from.

Yeah, I'm noting a distinct lack of horns and hellfire.

[ ... not that he would probably have them here anyway... ]

So what are they like?

[swirlied]

They look just like humans, mostly. There's only a few differences too. Demons are born with the ability to use magic, and they age a lot slower than humans.

[ He looks kind of... disappointed... but he also comes from a world where the majority of people have superpowers, so. ]

How'd you guys get such a shit reputation, then?

A few kings before me were tyrants, apparently. I actually have to disguise myself whenever I leave the kingdom.

[ Lots of hats and colored contacts. ]

So basically a few assholes ruined it for everybody else, huh.

[ Why is Bakugou talking when he'd be the asshole ruining things. ]
