Week 4.

WEEK 4

Ashley Williams and Asuka Langley Shikinami have joined the ranks of the deceased. Two more deaths, two more people whose absences will be felt by the group; a bit over one-fifth of the Participants are dead.

And this week, it seems everyone is feeling it.

They say three times can be considered a routine, and the fourth week of the exercise isn't breaking pattern any. Saturday can be given to rest and sleep; on Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock. There are no more bodies, no more bloodstains; there's nothing else to be found this morning. Unless, of course, you count whatever you found last night, strange dreams or otherwise.

Once again, there's a new floor to explore; after everything that trial decided to be yesterday, you deserve the reward.

And for the second time, there are rule changes, effective immediately. You might want to take note of them.

PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 23

SUNDAY | MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY

There's not all that much to be done, I guess. Though...I think I might have done something.

[Memories. THEY'RE WEIRD]

...hmm. Well, if you remember everything and he's still a problem...

...

What sorts of cats do you like best, actually?
ninehundredlives: ([ it's all in your head ])

[personal profile] ninehundredlives 2015-12-11 02:11 am (UTC)(link)
What, like breeds? That doesn't really matter to me. My favorite of them is just a plain black fellow, I couldn't tell you what he's got in him.
oftheland: (ahahahaha oh wow)

[personal profile] oftheland 2015-12-13 01:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I see. Well, I guess personality is what I'm thinking here, because I wouldn't really know anything about cat breeds to begin with.

It's a silly thing to worry about anyway. They're all cats.

My favorite one of them is...loyal? He always comes and stays with me, but he never actually eats any of the food I set out. He just wants to keep me company, I guess. Not really the most affectionate, but he's always there.

I think it's the sort of thing where it'd matter to a certain degree where I'm from, since even if Pokemon look similar they can have wildly different abilities... but I'm sure that's not something you'd be concerned with.

Ah, that sounds nice enough, especially if you like your space.

I do. I used to think I didn't like other people's company at all. It's been different here...

[She's silent for a moment, before deciding that verges uncomfortably close to Emotions.]

Anyway, I think I might be concerned with it depending on what they do. I wouldn't want something that could set my building on fire if it got fussy. Though...I suppose it'd be alright if it only did that when I wanted it to.

Maybe you just weren't encountering the right people.

And fortunately, most cat-like Pokemon don't learn those kinds of moves without some sort of intervention, so you should be fine. Well, there is Flareon, but I'm not sure if that's quite the same...
ninehundredlives: ([ the lamb ])

[personal profile] ninehundredlives 2015-12-14 12:28 am (UTC)(link)
What kind of "moves" would they learn?
oftheland: excuse the mascara (heh.)

[personal profile] oftheland 2015-12-15 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
Mostly things like growling, scratching, biting... although Meowth's pretty interesting in that one of its moves causes things to drop money everywhere even when they have no logical reason to do so.

....................

Pokemon are very mysterious creatures.
ninehundredlives: ([ don't you worry love ])

[personal profile] ninehundredlives 2015-12-17 12:14 am (UTC)(link)
Sounds dangerous for the economy.
oftheland: (but that is not how type matchups work)

[personal profile] oftheland 2015-12-17 01:49 am (UTC)(link)
It's surprisingly never been that much of a problem, although people may be accounting for it... it's hard to say, really.

[personal profile] ninehundredlives 2015-12-17 02:14 pm (UTC)(link)
What sort of currency do you use, anyway?

[She's picturing a cat just sitting in a shower of singles right now and it's very disconcerting.]

[personal profile] oftheland 2015-12-24 10:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Mostly it's a combination of coins and paper bills, but digital forms of currency are getting increasingly popular. Both of them have their advantages and disadvantages, of course.
