[There's not much that can be believed about that trial. Or that execution. Still, like before, two hours after everyone leaves, they'll find a note slipped underneath their doors.]

We have to stick together. The dining room is there for anyone that needs a quiet space, and I cooked dinner.

Hibiki made some coffee and dessert for all of us.

I'm not completely sure, but basically... you know how there are words that sound the same but they mean different things? Inside the box is the real meaning of her name, I think.

More or less. Anyway, I thought her name meant "falling". Turns out it actually means "connected nut". I have no fucking clue why that's so important that they put it in a fancy box, but I guess it was important to who she was.

I... think it's... metaphorical, you know? Like maybe she did a lot of falling when she was learning to fly or something, and now she doesn't?

I'm not really that great at it either... who around here seems like they'd be good with interpreting literary type stuff?

I dunno. Logan and the cop, like, read a lot. [That means they're good at that stuff, right???] Maybe, like, that demon kid?

[ These potential conversations are going to be trainwrecks before they even begin, like how does one even respond to "what do you think the significance of a connected nut is". ]

He does seem kinda like a nerd. [ sorry yuuri ] ... I guess there's not really much of a point in finding out what it means after the fact, though.

I dunno. Maybe it'll be useful to, like, talk to her? Like, if you use her "true name" it's better or whatever?

The ghosts or whatever they are did seem to react to the stuff that was theirs, didn't they? ... I don't know how spiritual shit works at all, is that how it's supposed to go.

[ ... He says this like he expects Tabby to know or something. ]

Do I look like a ghost expert? [SHE FIGHTS SPACE TIGERS AND BROCCOLI, NO GHOSTS INVOLVED.] I just know, like, Elsa says names are important and stuff if you're, like, dealing with the paranormal.

I dunno, maybe I was just deferring to your hero experience or something. [ Because he's in training and all. ] But ghosts and shit like that exist where you come from? I've never heard of this kinda thing before, except in movies.

I'm, like, the person who blows stuff up. Elsa is, like, the one who tells you what the stuff, like, is or whatever? Monica bosses us around, Aaron does computer stuff, and the Captain . . . [Long pause.] The Captain, like, punches hard.

[THAT'S THE BEST SHE COULD COME UP WITH.]

But yeah? I mean, there's not ghosts running around, like, all the time but Ghost Rider exists and, like, people come back from the dead all the time. We, like, deal with a lot of other weird paranormal stuff, though.

[ For a few moments, he just stares at her because it's not weird to be able to make things explode but ghosts are totally out there. To be fair to Bakugou's wildly inconsistent standards, apparently superpowers still make some kind of physiological sense in his world, so... ]

No offense, but Ghost Rider sounds like the kind of name a midboss level villain from those Saturday morning kid shows would have...

He's, like, a flaming skeleton who rides a motorcycle, so. That's probably about right - except he's, like, a good guy.

[She thinks. It's not like she knows him personally or anything.]

... Heroes where you come from are weird as hell. Way weirder than mine, and I know some serious fucking weirdos.
