[There's not much that can be believed about that trial. Or that execution. Still, like before, two hours after everyone leaves, they'll find a note slipped underneath their doors.]
We have to stick together. The dining room is there for anyone that needs a quiet space, and I cooked dinner.
Hibiki made some coffee and dessert for all of us.
-Mordecai Benmont Jiminy and Hibiki Ganaha
[Today's selection includes potato pancakes and a light coffee cake. Hibiki has lit two more candles in the dining hall. It doesn't take long before Mordecai lights a third.]

He'd trusted Dio, and where did that get him? Even with the people who defended him, he'd screwed up, made himself look suspicious. It's not something the Inspector wants to repeat.
He can't repeat it. He needs to keep on believing in people, but... Well. It's difficult.
The Inspector doesn't hide away in his room this time, though. He's in the dining hall. Not eating, of course-- watching a floating head attack a terrifying shadow and then get eaten does a lot to ruin a man's appetite.
Still, he has the note Dio wrote to frame him, and he has his notebook open to a blank page, looking like he wants to write something, but can't.]

[Logan takes a seat across from him. He places Dio's journal down on the table and flips it open to the sheet of paper pertaining to Cabanela.]
...I doubt this will help any, but I believe you need to see this.
[He hands that page over, but he's going to want it back, alright. Dio's notebook needs to remain in one piece.]

Occasionally he'll glance over at those candles. The third one is the one he keeps being sort of confused by. But hey, he's not about to complain about it. Everyone who died here deserves to be remembered in his opinion.

Mordecai brings down a few bottles of booze and soda to the dining hall and spends most of the time sitting by the memorial, looking at the candles for a few minutes, then back at the Debugger resting in his lap. That thing's given him enough courage to make it through the trial, but now that it's all over, there are still three people dead. Morty and Rakka trusted someone and got killed. Dio didn't think through his actions and nearly ruined everyone's lives.
Harriet might still be in danger.
He doesn't have any food with him. There's too much to think about to care about eating.]

He makes a stop at the memorial, shaking his head. There's nothing he has that either Rakka or Morty would like, at least, not that he knows. So instead of leaving something memorable, he'll just stand there and cry like a baby.
The food would smell good on a normal day, but this execution sucked ass. Marty watched Dio's severed head whip out arteries that writhed around like snakes, y'know. Marty already threw up once, and he's not gonna again. He's just going to look at the food and wrinkle his nose, shaking his head a few times before taking a seat at a table and planting his ass there. ]

But she remembers what happened after Ashley's death. People actually noticed when she hid in her room. There's only Hibiki left to worry now, but the girl's been through enough today without having to think about her. She'll just come out and get some potato pancakes. She doesn't really intend to eat them, but oh well.
She does stop by the memorial before she goes, and leaves two more hand-drawn portraits: Rakka and Morty. They're the only ones besides Ashley; she was working on more, but she stopped them for this.
Susan stands there for few minutes before going back to her room. She's made efforts to clean up her face, but it's obvious she's been crying.]

...yeah, it really says something about him that he keeps having to pour one out for the murderers, huh? Though, it's not like he didn't expect that to happen.
Even the best of the best can expect all their transgressions to catch up with them eventually... but they can at least try and give it your all at the end and keep going until that final, fatal second.
So... Giovanni goes ahead and pours out a blood bag into a glass, because fuck it, have they ever even found someone alive enough for it to be worth it, and then pours himself a... more normal drink.
He then raises it to no one in particular... well, no one there, anyway.]

She's scribbling a few drawings of cartoon animals, hamsters and dogs and cats to cheer herself up, but eventually she starts lifting her head and looking for anyone she can talk to. Dorika is back in the chicken pen, exhausted, and she's only here because she wants to be here to remember Rakka and Morty.
If anyone she's spoken to, even briefly, gets too close to her, she'll quietly try to get their attention.]

Youko disappears immediately after the trial, but there's a note accompanied by a knock slipped under each of their doors within the half hour:
We're having dinner. Come to the kitchen as soon as you get this. NO EXCUSES!!!

Steak was sadly not an option but they still had croquettes. Ahhh, croquettes... and the food Mordecai and Hibiki had made to round their meal out.
