[There's not much that can be believed about that trial. Or that execution. Still, like before, two hours after everyone leaves, they'll find a note slipped underneath their doors.]

We have to stick together. The dining room is there for anyone that needs a quiet space, and I cooked dinner.

Hibiki made some coffee and dessert for all of us.

[Today's selection includes potato pancakes and a light coffee cake. Hibiki has lit two more candles in the dining hall. It doesn't take long before Mordecai lights a third.]

No, no. We need to all do this. I'll be doin' my part from now on; now's the end of Mordecai Benmont Jiminy that stayed in his room most of the day! It's high time I do my part. As mayor of Mars, it's my responsibility to make sure no more trouble happens in this place.

[decrees]

...I wouldn't count on being able to prevent trouble entirely. All we can do is keep as many people alive as possible.

[It's as gentle as Logan can get it, which still isn't very gentle at all. He's been operating under that assumption from day one, but the longer this goes on, the more he's realizing that he really hates that way of thinking.]

That's true. Wish that were the case for my saloon, but there's always troublemakers sneakin' into it.

[Could everyone please stop shooting and/or punching each other for once?]

But that don't mean we can give up. Even though trouble manages to find my place, the Space Saloon was much safer than the bar across the street. Some fights is better than fights happenin' every day on the regular.

I know. Giving up is never an option.

[...That's... Well. He didn't need to think about that before he answered it. He'll have to seriously consider his situation back in Albion a bit more later.]

[...It's not his fault his memories were wrong!! And then his sister overthrew his rule and fucked everything he worked for up, literally none of that was his fault.

(Okay, the latter was. Kind of.) ]

I know. I believe I've found my place here. I may not be of any use during the investigations [because he's played by a mod] but at the very least I can attempt to protect people.

[The nighttime patrols admittedly haven't done anything yet, but who knows? Maybe they'll be useful someday.]

Well, you're a symbol of unity. Even if you're useless, when people got a figure to rally around, they feel better about themselves.

[He was pretty much completely hated back home. Except by his guards, who were apparently very eager to kill his sister for him. HE NEVER ASKED FOR THAT BY THE WAY.

...But it's a nice thought, that he can unite people instead of divide them. That's what his mother did, after all. She brought all of Albion together, united under her rule.]

Don't mention it. You learn a lot about sayin' comfortin' words when you keep bars most of your life.

...I can only imagine. I hadn't been in many back home. Though there was a rather unfortunate one not far from the castle.

Surprisingly, no. It was fairly well-behaved. They were just particularly fond of insulting their king.

...I actually try to ignore Rick as often as I can.

...Well, O'Tooles keeps on askin' how my wife's doin'. The right answer is fine, but once I say she's away on business as usual, well...

Of course not! First off, that ain't true, I know Harriet loves me nearly as much as I love her! Second, I do not tolerate him attemptin' to cause trouble by spreadin' lies! Third, I gotta make sure he don't get uppity just because my Space Saloon walked off and make him the premiere barkeep in town!

[Damn rival...]

Oh, I wish I could slapped him instead! Hopefully I'm only missin' that memory and actually followed up on that!
