Week 6.

WEEK 6 Losing three people in one week isn't very nice, is it? Morty Smith, Rakka, and Dio Brando have all joined the deceased. It will be hard to forget them. It will be even harder to forget that execution and Dio's flying, screaming head. Life must go on though and as usual, the group has at least a little bit of time to recover. Saturday can be dedicated to rest and sleep; on Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock. The stairwells are clear of bodies; there's no more death to be dealt with for the time being. Unless, of course, you happened to recover something particularly unfortunate in your dreams... Once again, there's a new floor to explore; your reward for doing your job well. Some of your antics have resulted in more rule changes, effective immediately. You might want to avoid breaking those if you're fond of staying alive. But then again, there are ghosts. Maybe dying wouldn't be so bad after all. [ He smiles. ] I'm sure I will.

[ There's a small pause as he looks over at the boulder again. ] By the way, can you think of anyone that this thing might belong to?

[...Giovanni.]

Nope! No idea. Who would own a big boulder anyway?

[Absolutely Giovanni. But she could be wrong.

She hopes she's wrong.]

Do you think there's something special about it?

[swirlied]

[ He takes a few steps toward the boulder, examining it. ]

I don't think so... It looks like a normal boulder, doesn't it?

Big, tall, practically impossible to move- yup! Looks like a pretty normal boulder to me!

If this thing had some weird powers or something, at least it would make sense for it to be here. Honestly, a regular boulder is more confusing.

Well, I do have a couple of pickaxes! How about we bust down this boulder?

[Try. I think the world Blue's looking for is try.]

[ They'll totally be able to break it open. ]

[True to her word, she returns in a few minutes with two... Well, with one pickaxe herself, and the other one being tugged along by Wiggly.

...

Wiggly is much stronger than her.]

Careful, they're pretty heavy!

[Wiggly offers hers to Yuuri first; Blue will probably end up getting her big puffy buddy to do it, but for now she'll give it a good faith effort.]

[ He bends down, taking the pickaxe from Wiggly and giving her a grateful smile. ]

Thanks. [ And Blue did not lie—they're really heavy. It's a good thing Yuuri has played baseball most of his life, otherwise he wouldn't have the strength to lift it. ]

You're right, they are heavy. [ But he manages to lift it after a few moments of trying to get the right grip. ] Are you ready?

[Blue manages to get it up and ready without too much difficulty; she's far from the strongest out of her friends, let alone some others, but you don't go around doing trainer stuff without some strength to you.]

Ready!

[swirlied]

[ Yuuri nods, and swings the pickaxe at the boulder...

And it almost bounces off and Yuuri nearly loses his grip on it. ]

Whoa!

[ At least there's a scratch? ]

[withabigsmile]

[Blue swings after him, at roughly the same spot.

That scratch is now a crack; looks like they're starting to get somewhere.

...Not nearly as somewhere was they want to go, but you know what. Beggars can't be choosers.]

[swirlied]

[ Yuuri takes another swing, and the crack gets just a little bigger. ]

This is gonna take a while.

[...A long while, from the looks of it.]

Should we keep going?

[Is it worth the treasures at the end?]

[ He looks at the small amount of progress they've made. ]

Maybe for a little while longer. I don't know if we'll be able to finish this today...
