Week 6.

WEEK 6 Losing three people in one week isn't very nice, is it? Morty Smith, Rakka, and Dio Brando have all joined the deceased. It will be hard to forget them. It will be even harder to forget that execution and Dio's flying, screaming head. Life must go on though and as usual, the group has at least a little bit of time to recover. Saturday can be dedicated to rest and sleep; on Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock. The stairwells are clear of bodies; there's no more death to be dealt with for the time being. Unless, of course, you happened to recover something particularly unfortunate in your dreams... Once again, there's a new floor to explore; your reward for doing your job well. Some of your antics have resulted in more rule changes, effective immediately. You might want to avoid breaking those if you're fond of staying alive. But then again, there are ghosts. Maybe dying wouldn't be so bad after all. [ He leans up against the counter. ]

Of course. [ Especially with the way Logan died, it was something Yuuri was having trouble shaking out of his mind. ]

...I'm really going to miss Logan.

We'll bring him back.

[How can it be done? She doesn't even know, but...]

[Maybe if she says it to herself enough, she'll end up believing it.]

We will. There has to be a way. We're all going to get out of here.

[ At least Yuuri himself is convinced of this, and he says it with a lot of conviction. ]

Right! So we just have to keep it together until then, right?

[Just keep it together, just keep it together, you're gonna make it out of here, Blue--]

[ Normally, he would just nod and agree but after walking in on Blue crying he can't let that go. Instead he's silent for a few moments, trying to think of the best way to say it. In the end he comes up with: ]

...It's okay to cry sometimes, though. [ Bottling up emotions is never good for anyone, and Yuuri knows that all too well. ]

I know.

[She of all people doesn't need to hear that she shouldn't bottle her emotions... Right?]

What about you, Yuuri? Are you okay?

[swirlied]

[ He crosses his arms, shaking his head. ]

No, not really. [ And the only reason why he's not crying himself is because he already did a lot of it earlier. ]

...Want to talk about it?

[She'd much rather hear about how he's doing than get all teary eyed again.]

Sure. [ Even if he's the only one really talking, it might help both of them.

He glances over at the omelettes. ] Do you want to eat while we talk? [ Because he's actually really hungry. ]

Sure!

[She hands him the not lumpy and also possibly full of tears omelette; she'll take the less than perfect one for herself and eat it where she stands.

...The dining room is where Rakka was when she died. She'd rather not eat in it.]

[swirlied]

[ He doesn't question her decision to eat in the kitchen, and instead takes a couple of bites himself. He takes the time to try and sort out his thoughts. ]

I know we're going to get out of here, I know we can do it. But I'm starting to wonder just how long it's going to take... [ And if they can even defeat those shadows. ]

That's one of the first things I asked the Conductor, after Reaver and Kaneki died. How many of us can make it out of here? He told me twenty-nine.

He didn't tell me whether there would be an end or not, but... If there wasn't going to be, he would have just told me that, right? It would encourage me to kill someone to get out.

[...But she really doesn't know how many of them are going to make it out of here alive. Less than this, probably.]

[ Right... He remembers Blue mentioning that a while ago. ]

That's true. He wouldn't tell you that if it was totally impossible. Everyone else is still around too, so that means there has to be a way to bring them back, right?

There's definitely a way to bring them back, and it's up to us to figure out what it is, according to the Conductor.

[She's not really sure how to go about that, but... It's something.]

[swirlied]

[ He smiles at that. ]

We'll definitely figure it out. I mean, there's no way we'll fail if we all work together. [ But getting all of them to work together is a different story... To Yuuri though, that's something they don't need to worry about. ]

...You think so?

[Like everyone in this group could actually band together.]

[swirlied]

Of course! We need to at least try, right? It's kind of like diplomacy.

[withabigsmile]

...Diplomacy?

[Rule one of Pokémon: not a single one of our dumb fuck regions have anything even close to diplomacy

Yeah. Bringing people together and trying to work out a compromise... That way everyone is happy.

[ It never goes that smoothly for him though. It's kind of hard to represent yourself without telling people who you are. ] It's what I'm trying to do back home.

[...Okay but fighting though, why wouldn't you battle to solve your problems-

Oh right because you guys don't have Pokémon so everything's weird for you.]

How's that working out for you?

I'm not really sure to be honest... It's hard to tell what's happened with my memories so jumbled up.

[ He's not the only one with that problem, though. ] But I do know my friends are doing their best, even if I can't be there right now.

...And how come you guys don't just battle to settle your differences?

[swirlied]

Well... I have fought a couple of times. [ Maybe even more than that by now. ]

But I don't want to kill anyone.
